All-Ireland U20 Football Championship

Congrats to Kildare on reaching the final.
Tough game today against Sligo, I felt a bit more attacking in that second half would have made it easier on the nerves. Very organized and good quality footballers in the Sligo team so a win is all that counts and really good defensively.
Looking forward to Tyrone & Kerry match tomorrow

Great win, not pretty to watch but required real fortitude and composure. Two All-Ireland finals in 5 years is testament to the underage development work of the past 10+ plus years. Exciting times now and ahead for Lilywhite land

The Kerry v. Tyrone semi looks a few notches above anything seen thus far in the championship, in terms of intensity and tigerish tackling.

Not a ball kicked in the final yet.

Ruairi Canavan seems a real talent. Tyrone just about deserved that. Kerry will be disappointed but the ref gave them every chance there at the end with more than 5 minutes of injury time.

Good contest really nothing between the side. Tyrone edged it with that late goal. I think the final will be simliar.

A very enjoyable game, with some quality players on show, but Canavan was a cut above them all. He was outstanding. What a talent.

He's the scorer and Darragh is the playmaker.

Maybe not, but I'd make Tyrone favorites based on the games I've seen so far. They won't give the Kildare forwards the space they got yesterday.

That said, still all to play for.

And O Donnell (13), I'd have him corner back any day I before Mc Kerman.

Absolutely all to play for. It will suit Kildare to go in as underdogs. Has the makings of a great final

I'd expect there to be very little between the sides in the final. Kildare have some excellent ball winners and classy forwards inside.
Tyrone had some brilliant performances today as well. I think Kildare could sneak it, but either team winning wouldn't surprise me.

The ref had given Tyrone anything that was in it. The black card was a yellow and was at a pivotal time, also a couple of soft scorable frees but fair play to Tyrone and yes Canavan was superb

Tyrone really have the mockers on Kerry! Speaking of whom, the gaps between winning the national championships are starting to stretch alarmingly....

There is a huge amount to be said for mentality. Tyrone just about squeezed past Cavan in the Ulster final. If Cavan were there today, I think Kerry would have been more at ease, could have won by a bit. I don't mean that in any way disrespectfully to Cavan.
Once it was Tyrone, I was expecting a very tight battle today and that's what it was. I've no doubt that the Kerry lads had a different mindset knowing that it was Tyrone, rather than if it was Cavan.
Tyrone do have some brilliant footballers and have continued to produce excellent underage teams for quite some time now. They seem to be doing great work up there and are an example to many counties.
I've been saying it for years, but U20/21 regularly produces top quality games and is a much more level playing field, which it makes it great to follow.

Rough on the full back with black card, luckily match wasn't won while he was off the field.

Black card all day long.

Tyrone's win was a fluke and/or the other team left it behind them and/or blame the ref and/or blame covid and/or puke football, etc.

Stop with the poor mouthing. Nobody has said anything like you've just mentioned in this thread.
I thought Tyrone were the better team and had the better footballers overall. They had by far the outstanding footballer on show. There are some serious prospects on that team for the seniors.
McGleenan seems freakishly strong. The Kerry centre back is a big lad, but he bounced him off like an U12 for his point on the first half.
