That works but still a big reward for a flukey guy like me in the example above.
Say 1 for correct result
2 if you get the margin correct but call it Hi or Low with the cutoff being 4 pts. Mayo to beat Galway Low means a 3 pt win or less , High means 4 or more
3 for a draw
[Or change the 1 2 3 values in the above scenario if you are not happy with the ratios]

& pick the cutoff pt at whatever you think - High H could be 5 or more. And throw in a bonus pt for the exact result if you want. Mayo by 7 in the original 1 2 3 setup gets 3 pts if they win by 7 exactly
Might be a lot of extra work for you?
And ignore the ET result as you say .

And any eijit that picks Galway to beat Mayo gets a booby prize of -20 even if they are right!

I'll do it like the league except we'll give 2 points for calling the correct winner.

So the scoring rules now are:

NORMAL TIME ONLY:

Call the winner = 2 points
Call the draw = 3 points
Call the exact margin = 5 points.

Also to point out, if Tyrone beat Fermanagh by 6 points and you call that as your score, it only entitles you to 5 points in the game. You don't get 2 points for calling Tyrone the winner and an additional 5 points for getting the margin correct if that makes sense?

Ádh mór achan duine.

Scores after the opening weekend below.
Reminder:

2 points for correct winner
3 points for calling a draw (after 70 minutes)
5 points for exact winning margin

I know a few of you called a winner after extra time, but we'll let that slide for this weekend. Going forward we'll only take the prediction for normal time like the bookies do. So if you call a draw it's only after 70 minutes. Whatever happens in extra time is irrelevant. Similarly, for example in the Donegal Armagh game this weekend, if you predict Donegal to win by 4 points then they must do so in normal time. If it takes them extra time to do it then it doesn't count in our competition.
