Good game in Tralee last Saturday, exciting matches in the JoeMc Donagh, tournament. Kerry hurlers will get their reward eventually.

How is it a big shock. Carlow have been stronger than Offaly for the last 5 years. Kick in the teeth but good luck to Kerry in the final. carlovia (None) - Posts: 1536 - 21/05/2022 14:51:23 2419183 Link 0 |
Couldnt see that happening to be fair. Offaly will see their year now as a failure

Thank you Carlow! Offaly were in Division 1, many, myself included, had them as favourites. I am not surprised by Carlow however. Carlow gave Antrim a good test. Congratulations to Down on retaining their McDonagh status. Hard luck to Meath. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8788 - 21/05/2022 15:16:04 2419188 Link 1 |
I'm surprised at Carlow beating Offaly. Fair play to them and well done. Keep up the great work. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2505 - 21/05/2022 15:22:54 2419190 Link 0 |
Looking at Carlow's development in the last 2 years, today didn't surprise me. Tom Mullally has done a great job with a new young team. We just paid for the off day against Kerry. What a great competition where all 6 teams had something to play for on the final day. carlovia (None) - Posts: 1536 - 21/05/2022 16:08:34 2419199 Link 0 |
Well done Kerry! Offaly can have no complaints on missing out after failing to get a result today. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 1034 - 21/05/2022 16:55:45 2419208 Link 0 |
Dublin/Kerry preliminary quarter final not unlikely! That be some crack. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3526 - 21/05/2022 17:28:49 2419223 Link 0 |
Tough on Carlow after getting the win they needed but margins are very tight in this competition. It's a fantastic competition it has to be said. It must be doing the counties good to play such ferociously competitive matches week after week in this. With Laois or Westmeath coming down and most likely Kildare coming up, or Kerry or Antrim staying in it it's a mouth watering competition for next year. Be nice if RTE could show a live game in it each week. The start times on Saturday afternoons would allow it. Good to give it more profile. Give it to TG4 and you'll get a proper presentation of the games.

I'd agree fully with that. It's an excellent competition which doesn't get the recognition it deserves and maybe by showing at least a couple of games on TV it would help kids in our counties aspire to play the game.

Wexford will be a tough one for Kerry. Any year that Kerry have gone respectably well in hurling, Wexford have always had the streetwise hurling to snuff out any threat. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8788 - 21/05/2022 19:51:18 2419249 Link 0 |

More important to beat Antrim 1st. Which will be a tough ask legendzxix.
