Donal Og predicts that:

Cork will beat Kilkenny this weekend.
Waterford will beat Wexford.
Antrim will beat Offaly.

I predict the opposite in all 3 games. Watch this space!

I agree with you. I think it will be opposite also. Very stupid comment by Galway man?

So hard to call, all thing being equal and if you knew both teams were going for the win then I'd agree with donal og. Performances and trying certain tactics more important than the result. If I were Cork not sure if I'd want a league final with Limerick coming to town in 2 weeks after that.

Donal og is like the teacher we all had in school who loved poetry, keep talking, talking and talking..eventually he's the only person who knows what he's talking about himself..using big words is also a speciality..on the semi finals,I think cork will win tonight, tomorrow I'm leaning towards Wexford because Waterford havnt named Bennett..

Antrim far too strong for us today. We need to get more physical to compete at DIv. 1 I think we have to travel to Antrim, Kerry, and Carlow in JMcD in 2022.,

God almighty, Donal Og proved himself better of me. 3-0! Some man; kudos!

Offaly/Antrim was a genuine battle on the day. McManus missing was what swayed me toward Offaly. Wrong! Fair play to Antrim.

Cork/Kilkenny? I couldn't see Cork wanting to win it…go out defiantly by a score or two. What is Cork going to do with the final, the extra game? Go all out to win it of course! But that means that Cork is going to have to win every game from now on (could possibly lose or draw a game in the round robin) without a break until they'd lift Liam. That is not undoable. But it's a very heavy, hard ask. This win over KK might yet come back to haunt Kingston (early) this season.

On the other hand, KK would have relished that extra game, as their opening games in Leinster seem quite manageable (due respect to their opponents).

The same applies to Waterford. Why the extra game with the Munster round-robin staring them down the barrel of a gun? Are Cahill and Kingston putting their money on momentum, and winning all their games?

It really looked like Senior vs Junior in the double W game! Of course, the early summer sod on Nowlan wouldn't have helped the yellow-bellies much, but I expected a bit more. But perhaps, Wexford is the one that's holding its hand back? Who knows?

Only time, and Donal Og will tell. But for now, my own clock has stalled.

Three out of 3. Can't argue with that. Bad weekend in general for leinster in both codes with Louth footballers being the most positive . Div 1 football for 2022 is an ulster/connacht/kerry affair.

Yes. Hope Foreveryoung didn't go to the bookies. Wexford really poor. Waterford are the biggest threat to Limerick this year.

I remember before the league started, you tipped Cork for relegation! Based on your recent projections, a pundit would be well advised to take the opposite side to your predictions! Now go to sleep for awhile like RipVan Winkle!

We will get better as the pitches dry out. We always do. Was a strange performance for sure. Bit like our only other defeat this year in the Walsh Cup final. Strange lack of energy. Lots of fringe players being given a run. We will find out if it's all part of a plan if we reach and do well in the All Ireland series. The Galway game in 3 weeks will tell alot.

Rockies,
I will admit my failings. I did indeed suspect that Cork could go down, and I'm no fan of Kingston. 2021 was an annus horribilis for Cork hurling, but it's looking like that 2022 is going to prove to be an annus mirabilis. And fair play if that happens to be the case. I don't know no more than you know!

But one thing that I do know is, that I won't be going to sleep any time too soon! So, enjoy, boy!

Donal Óg takes the clean sweep in emphatic fashion. He'll be proud of that, but you'll be back foreveryoung. We have a summer ahead of us yet.
