Best of luck in League final. Will this year be the year Jack L (None) - Posts: 3141 - 26/03/2023 21:46:44 2466932 Link 0 |
Does McStay pick his strongest team and go all out? I think he should. We saw what happened after last years defeat and never recovered. That said I thought we'd be doing well to stay up this year so it's a nice surprise how comfortable the league has been. That said it's the league….although the fact championship is sooner may mean the league might be a better indicator of the year ahead. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11429 - 29/03/2023 17:28:27 2467656 Link 1 |
Its been a good league so far for Mayo, I think they have done alot better than what alot of people thought they would. Question being asked if they are looking more at the Roscommon game than this Sunday, I dont think you can be turning it on and off like that and you have to go out to win all games. Be interesting to see if Tommy Conroy plays, from what I heard the knee was swelling up a bit so they were resting him so see if they play him or save him for Roscommon. tommy132 (Mayo) - Posts: 619 - 31/03/2023 16:29:01 2468027 Link 0 |
Any word yet on the homecoming, nothing on Midwest. MeAlone (Galway) - Posts: 75 - 02/04/2023 21:16:18 2468413 Link 0 |

Good win in 3rd gear. Didn't think we played particularly well and should have been out of sight in first 20mins. Plenty to improve on for this coming weekend. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11429 - 03/04/2023 08:59:17 2468448 Link 1 |
Some amount of whinging over on the Roscommon forum about Mayo diving and winning soft frees. You'd think they would keep their head down about that after Conor Cox a few weeks ago. MayoDan (Mayo) - Posts: 434 - 03/04/2023 11:06:05 2468472 Link 0 |
Absolutely no mention on the Roscommon forum after the league final about Mayo players diving and winning soft frees. They won the match and probably should have won by more. Enjoy the few days celebration rather than having a go at the Rossies.

Defence needs to be a lot sharper Yew Tree. Giving away too many goal chances. Roscommon took two of them a few weeks ago and they weren't even playing well on the day. They've a lot more to offer than they showed that day.

If Mayo were in 3rd gear , then Galway were in second gear. To be honest thats BS. While both teams didnt't play to potential , it wasn't for the want of trying. Aidan O shea bursting a git to defend. Mayo players diving and putting their head on the line to make blocks. Make no mistake this was a game where both teams were trying as hard as they could. anotheralias (Galway) - Posts: 960 - 03/04/2023 13:22:32 2468523 Link 1 |
Great to see Connacht teams at top table. maroondiesel (Mayo) - Posts: 1218 - 03/04/2023 13:37:07 2468532 Link 0 |
Salty. Mayo were far from our best yesterday so we're Galway. Truth be told MAyo never looked like losing it.

Our forward play can be better too. Only four points from play.
