Replying To Thunderstruck:  "Excellent win, a far superior outfit on the night. Leaders all over the field. Armstrong and Murphy are real additions to the minor team of 3 years ago. Considering that Commons, O' Halloran, Corbett and Emanuel would be more involved but for injury, this is a really strong group. The strength and conditioning of the players is much superior to any U-20 group we have had before. A lot of people will say COB should be the next senior manager, personally I think we need a long term approach and I would like to see him stay with the U-20's for a number of years until we are producing good teams year after year. We have really struggled at minor level for the last 3 years and I think as a county we need a bottom up approach, COB has the managerial ability to ensure we are very competitive at U-20 over the next 3 or 4 years and that is of utmost importance for the longer term. I believe 11 or 12 of this years extended squad are underage again next year. In my mind he should keep working with the U-20's and he would take over the seniors after the next manager, hopefully in 5 years time and with a group of players who have been successful at U-20 level for a number of years."
oh such a welcome boost & a much needed shot in the arm. only slight downside is , i think we don't have 5 years, alot of damage, in fact huge damage could be done in that timescale. get him in next year , and allow COR to retire with a successful narrative , thats the key for him . everyone gets what they want

Cathal O'Bric should be in charge of the Senior team next year, end of story.

Proper Strength and Conditioning the key component. Hats off to all involved.

One of the best team display' from Meath in quite a while mixed with more than a few outstanding display's from several players. Best complement I can give EA is that he reminded me of a young GG when he played in same position. Well coached team with great workrate and attitude. Many of these lad's should make the jump to senior in next few years and add to an already young panel with lots of potential.

Replying To Nothingbutthetruth:  "A fantastic win and one that you might have thought was beyond this talent group with the performance in Rd1. They have grown in confidence since then and steady improved. Looking forward to the semi final and we should go into that game full of confidence regardless of the opposition. Played both in two challenge games earlier in the year and we cant fear them. Some outstanding performances last night and while the lads putting the ball over the bar always gets the prize I think the Captain Liam Kelly set the tone early on and he finished with two points. He also stopped their marquee forward from scoring, Really stepped up last night."
Totally agree with that!! Kelly has achieved a really remarkable double of leading a Minor team to All Ireland success and a 20's team to provincial success. The players seem to respond to him - he deserves credit for that. But, a great team performance too and well done to the management!
