Drumhowan scrapped past adhdrumsee by a point so that was a tight one and if Erne gaels can nullified the currin man and the threemilehouse brothers on Saturday it could be tight game…

I disagree I think it'll be a 3 to 6 point hammering the United Parishes will hand out without getting out of 3rd gear. Get the game out of the way and move on. Bigger fish to fry later in the year

I seen that the county board named the teams of each championship last night. Hard to overall argue with the selections for each championship though there would be one or two selections that were borderline in my mind. Also seen in the last week's Standard the top scorers list for junior and intermediate - it was interesting to see the top scorers for intermediate were nearly all from clubs in the relegation pool, no doubt skewed by the fact that they play a few more games. One of the exceptions was Magheracloone's Paudie McMahon who was in top 5 scorers from play . He's had an excellent championship. If he's willing to commit, he'd be a good addition to county squad. Also was great to Aaron Mulligan back to form this year and in senior team of the year. Surely Brannigan needs to make it a priority to get him back in the squad. Doogan-Burke has been brilliant but is in U20 next year so that will surely be his focus. From the Magheracloone contingent, Jack Doogan and Dylan Byrne were also impressive.

Could Conor Boyle be tempted back? He looked back to his best this year. Aaron Carey looked very promising this year for Clontibret. Truagh fell short in the final, but you couldn't fault Ronan Boyle again who was outstanding. From junior , it's hard to pick a performer who has the ability to make the jump to inter-county. I'd say Aodhan Brennan was the outstanding player in junior this year, but it's a big leap from junior to county.

From the rumours I have heard swirling around the county some of these men mentioned above have already been brought in.

How has Gary mohan been named on the intermediate team of the year while missing a lot of it through injury?

Likewise for Kieran Hughes on the Senior Team Selection.

You would want to take each selection with a huge bucket of salt, the mind boggles on some selections…a lot of lads should feel hard done by but then again a lot of it depends on "who" you are and what club you play for….

Thought it strange McCurrin getting MOTM when Hughes was best player in final. Judges must be enjoying it as much as we are, Ant & Dec must have been in their ear "now award McCurrin MOTM"
