Johnny Bermingham, Aonghus Clarke and Niall Mitchell are county hurlers, pointless suggesting them as county footballers, Shane Corcoran definitely worthy of a look, Enda Gaffney too, Brandon Kelly and Noel O' Reilly from Milltownpass had impressive campaigns, Claretandblue (Westmeath) - Posts: 1967 - 04/10/2023 16:39:05 2506954 Link 1 |
I know one of them Was approached to swap from Hurling to football next year... Mightnt be that pointless

Corcoran still has two more years at u20. There is no rush on him. There were good forwards on this years u20 like Whittacker and Leech who should be prioritised for step up.

Caulry also searching for new manager. A_Chairde (Westmeath) - Posts: 259 - 04/10/2023 18:18:21 2506970 Link 0 |
Matthew Whitaker, Danny Mc Cartan, Sam Smyth Liam Daly and younger Baker would add a bit of freshness to the squad but think a few of them have another year to go with U20s. Adam Neary worked up big scores for Tang this year and has been in before. Harry Niall worth a look in midfield. A_Chairde (Westmeath) - Posts: 259 - 04/10/2023 18:32:52 2506971 Link 0 |

Caulry will have no problem getting a manager as great young team.

Caulry job an attractive one in some ways, good crop of players, decent age profile, section A looks weaker than this year and the manager can plan a decent holiday when campaign is finished. On flip side difficult to match this year's achievements Claretandblue (Westmeath) - Posts: 1967 - 06/10/2023 09:04:07 2507112 Link 0 |
Caulry, Downs, Shamrocks & Killucan all looking for new managers. Left Full (Westmeath) - Posts: 253 - 06/10/2023 10:58:45 2507127 Link 0 |
With the draws for the provincials coming up shortly is there any news on whether Dessie is staying on? Bruno@1 (Westmeath) - Posts: 218 - 06/10/2023 13:49:35 2507161 Link 0 |
Wouldn't be surprised if Curran went to the downs Mooo (Westmeath) - Posts: 43 - 06/10/2023 15:16:38 2507178 Link 0 |
He was scouting at most of the knockout games so would presume he staying on

Deflating end to the season. Disappointed for Kinnegad but Lomans deserved the win and have been the standard bearers now for a decade and they are not finished yet. Mountlin (Westmeath) - Posts: 59 - 06/10/2023 15:19:35 2507180 Link 0 |
Id imagine Caulry will need to get the selection of the next management team spot on-huge progress in the last 3 years under Curran-Mooney-Moran and theyre achievments will have to be matched at least.Good young squad so im sure there will ne a few interested in taking over.

Couldn't imagine Shane Curran driving to the Downs. A team such as Tubberclair would be ideal for him.

Serious squad of players probably best after St Lomans. John Benton might come back or maybe Jody malynn might fancy it. lakecounty90 (Westmeath) - Posts: 118 - 09/10/2023 09:07:48 2507478 Link 0 |
Will Clubs get behind them in the same way they got behind The Downs last year. I'm not so sure.
