If Tyrone win Ulster from that draw it will be the hardest ever won. Fermanagh/Derry/Monaghan and Donegal or Armagh would be some going. Happy enough with Monaghan's draw. Just wanted to avoid Donegal or Tyrone away in QF.

Another intriguing Ulster championship in prospect for 2022. I was a bit advocate for Championship change, but I must admit listening in to the draw yesterday I had that familiar feeling of excitement as the teams came out. Hopefully to God we can all safely attend the matches as we did pre Covid.

No easy games but I'm glad we are on a different side of the draw to Tyrone and Monaghan anyway, we have a better chance of making it to the Ulster final, hard to know now with Donegal, we'll see how the league goes, we have plenty of attacking scoring talent, not sure if we know how to defend anymore or if the management have much of a clue how to sort it out,
Tyrone are favs for sure and their tails will be up as the reigning Champions so they are the team to beat,
I reckon Monaghan will test them well if they meet.

From a Donegal perspective, avoiding the preliminary round and the home quarter final are two bonuses. Armagh will be very tough opponents though, they are a coming force and will be arriving to Ballybofey believing they can beat us. So we will have to be strong and many issues will need to be rectified if we are to challenge for Ulster again.

Tyrone don't have an easy draw and will have to retain their Ulster crown the hard way. Now that their players have an All Ireland in their back pocket, I can see them having more belief and swatting teams away a bit handier. The doubts are gone now with Sam Maguire in the county. But everyone on that side of the draw and after it will be mad to go at them for that reason!

Tyrone vulnerable to being nipped; always the way when we win something. Remember we played very well in the 2005 AI Final vs an excellent Kerry team; and then the quality of play / commitment nosedived in 2006 vs a poor Laois team. Tyrone has never put together back-to-back campaigns of equal quality. I hope we break that unfortunate trend this time, but I'm not holding my breath.

In fairness not many Ulster counties have put back to back allirelands except I think Down in the late 60s.

I notice not a mention of Fermanagh and pushing us aside as if we were Antrim. All the talk is about Tyrone winning again. Well my opinion is Tyrone is only as good as they last game and like your last poster I agree they haven't a great back-to-back record. I hope someone knocks of their temporary pedestal!
It's a pity fellow Fermanagh fan macca999 isn't around as he would have something to say to you lot.

If, and it's a massive if, Cavan can get their 2019 and 2020 Ulster championship form back then we might cause an upset. ...............................

Although if I am being perfectly honest with myself, we won't.

Any chance of letting us know who " you lot" are. Of the 13 posts so far only two from Tyrone.

No KingdomBoy,he was flogging a dead horse. On Ulster, between 5 teams. Armagh and Derry will fancy their chances after last year. They missed backdoor last year to get a run in championship.

Yeah, big ask to win it 2 years in a row, but in the noughties, after a good year, we'd be shocking poor the following year. Not even competitive. Too much resting on laurels. Remains to be seen whether new managers will at least get a performance out of the team in 22. Previously, we've always seemed to need a year out
