Don't agree. In Senior B it would have meant a team getting to semis after getting 3 points. There has to be a reward for finishing 1st versus 4th in a 6 team competition.

Thats exactly why. You shouldn't have a chance of making a semi final after 3 beatings

The structure in Westmeath is very good - it was brought into avoid dead rubber games and it has succeeded in that regard. Westmeathgael98 (Westmeath) - Posts: 50 - 11/09/2023 08:31:57 2503705 Link 0 |
Pollard do have something to play for? They have to play to avoid a relegation playoff versus daltons. Let's be real if Raharney had a full outfit against them in the 1st round then tonight's game would be whoever loses is relegated as Both teams would have zero points from 4 games

That's not true Pollard were full value for that win and Raharney had come straight off a poor league and it followed them into the championship. It was after that they started to perform better but pollard stagnated.

Pollard were deserving winners but they were playing a depleted Raharney side and Killian Doyle's contribution in only ten minutes almost changed the game. In previous championships clubs won county titles having lost three games which in a seven game competition is ludicrous. There have been no dead rubbers in any match so far with every team having something to play for, it's an excellent system. Very hard for anyone to argue that Pollard deserve to be in a semi final having been comprehensively beaten three times. Claretandblue (Westmeath) - Posts: 1967 - 11/09/2023 10:38:59 2503733 Link 1 |
Would agree that Pollard were in good form but Raharney were missing Killian Doyle, Robbie Greville, David Hickey and Jamie Mulkearns i think. Completely different team. soreknee (Westmeath) - Posts: 166 - 11/09/2023 10:59:28 2503740 Link 0 |
Plunketts are doing fantastic work at underage level. I think they will be a senior A team in the longer term but the final is going to extremely close. Any of the three remaining teams can win senior B. Westmeathgael98 (Westmeath) - Posts: 50 - 11/09/2023 11:28:38 2503753 Link 0 |
Lads, bit of a strange one. Entirely by accident I added Castlepollard to a weekend accumulator. Now they are the last team it's waiting on for a pretty decent sum. They are playing Fr. Daltons tonight but who should win this game. I have zero info on it and have a decent cash out offer. Any info is greatly appreciated. Also give up gambling on games you have no clue about. You'll never see a bookie on a bike

Hard to see pollard being bet after a tough week on the club with bereavement.

Cheers. As I said they were added completely by accident. I've never even heard of them. Just saw them on it after it was put on. Wrong button was pressed. Sound

Sometimes they are the best bets in my experience. I'd let it run. You'll be kicking yourself if you cashout now and they win!

I'm sure if there is a big shock and Pollard lose, all the lads on this forum will cover you :-)

Up to everyone to cover their own bets. The lad asked for advice so we gave him some. After that it's up to him make his own mind up. Except Cheltenham I don't place many bets a year. But I hardly ever cash out. I can't remember the last time. When I put money on its gone as far as I'm concerned. If you win its a bonus. So why not make it a big bonus; )

There's always one to spoil the fun , the wrongs of the world today people always trying to find the negatives and act like there been good Samaritans , each to their own , the man asked a question on a match he didn't need someone to tell him how to live his life
