It was always going to be a hard ask for Delvin after the week they had and to start without Dean Ennis, Josh Coll, Adam Ennis and Alan Cox was always going to be an uphill battle. If Westmeath want clubs to represent them properly in Leinster they will have to take this into account in future Masters fixtures list. 3 big matches in 7 days inc extra time is a big ask for any team not to mention final celebrations !

Is our senior hurling final at risk on Monday with the current weather and 3 games on beforehand?
Would be very unfair on our players to have to put it off another week

Weather not great but unless it gets really bad play somewhere call.off it again would be joke in my opinion as next weekend not suppose to be great either then leinster is on the week after.

It was mentioned on the podcast last night that the minor football final could have a change of venue but will go ahead.

There was 1 senior B hurler on the county football panel, this seems to be the reason that the senior B championship couldn't start earlier, but there were 2 rounds of football played 2 weekends in a row, that was the opportunity to play the hurling finals a week earlier.
Cox had to go back to work in Dubai, D.Ennis was on holidays, Adam and Josh were injured. Aaron Craig didn't start for Shandonagh today either, leg was heavily strapped.
Fair effort from Delvin without the missing lads.

Would have won with a bit to spare i think if they had those four lads, such is their influence on the Delvin team. All county standard hurlers. Great effort nonetheless!
