Replying To stonemadbeany:  "It will be announced at co board meeting tomorrow night"
Therefore it's not official yet

Replying To jobber:  "They wont be announcing it.They will be proposing it to the clubs who can reject their recommendation.Management will be trying to get the football clubs onside. But if the majority of the hurling clubs reject him Bulfin must see the game is up."
Why would the clubs reject him. The clubs sanctioned a committee including a former player to research the position and their recommendation will be accepted by the clubs. We don't know who else ran.

They will be announcing the proposal LOL
The club's won't reject it, it will be ratified tomorrow night unless a delegate asks to postpone the appointment so that they can talk to their clubs. Everything is done behind closed doors, the clubs should've been informed who the candidates were.

If you were to get an outside manager again someone with a bit more experience would surely be desirable? If you are only getting a number 2 in to see if he can step up to being a number one then surely you would be better going with a local man?

Irony not your strong suit obviously. You're the lad claiming it's official as in an announcement about it, he seems the favourite but entirely based on rumour. You hardly live your life according to rumours. I simply said there's a meeting tomorrow night, a fact, yours a rumour.

It appears there may be a few more twists in this before it's announced!

Could Damien Glesson be approached possibly?! I think he would be a very positive appointment if he was approached..

My last post can clearly be ignored. I see the announcement has been made on the new manager…

I 100% agree also. He may struggle to get buy in from the players..

Surely the senior players in the squad were consulted before announcement?

Poor appointment in my opinion, Johnny Greville or Kevin O'Brien would have been far far better,

Nice of 5 hurling clubs to not bother showing up for the vote. Fair play to LLG and Castlepollard for standing up.
Beggars belief that football clubs should have a vote in hurling matters & vice versa

Possibly didn't show to prove the point even more

That's like arguing not voting in a general election because you're not happy with the govt. Achieves nothing. Five clubs represented at meeting if true is a real indictment on the hurling clubs. Everyone knew there was one item on the agenda.

Some players were consulted

There will be an exodus

Will be a very different looking Westmeath team next year by all accounts
