Your comments the possession game doesn't suit them. The flair has been beat out of them at county. I seen the teams on social media, they appear to be missing a few, to my knowledge. They have the forwards if they move quick. Their minors were in last two finals and very few on the team the other night. Where have they gone?
Disappointing with blesso today, rathnew have been together all year. teams that are just coming back together following county ditties are serious disadvantage. Itll be interesting to see what teams are like in next games as they have a 3 week break"

Replying To Groundskeeper5:  "Yes, I think they were missing a few for a number of different reasons. I think players that would be on the team or close to the team would be Lorcan Smith, Joe Heatly, James Cardiff, Niall Sheehan, Oisin Cullen, and Matthew Fox. I think they were out through a mixture of injuries and younger lads on family holidays.

On the minor players coming through, I think most are on the Junior A. I counted 15 players between the senior and Junior A over the weekend, with over half the junior team being this minor crop. The two minor teams would be a mixture of different age groups. I think the winning team in 2023 was a team with a few star players, and a lot of the team was still underage in 2024. The group from 2024 (now 17 or 18) were the backbone of the 2023 team but without the star forwards to get them over the line last year. Maybe more along the lines of what the club needs.

Overall, I think people would be pretty happy with the number of these lads still involved. A few of them would have gotten league time with the players away with the county. Hopefully, the younger lads can be kept interested until they are at a level to play senior football. So maybe still a little young to be on the senior team but hopefully will come through.

I guess an issue for us is the lack of players from the ages of 23 to 33; there are really very few on our current teams with that age profile. So lads that were key for the breakout season are now in their mid-30s, and the younger lads are still pretty young. Sorry, not sure anyone needed that answer, but just giving a view from up here. So who know what will happen in the next few years but good position to be in, weirdly in last year championship they won all there tight group games then the one game were looked light they were blowing someone away....... they got blown away, so time will tell."
