I suppose there is no possibility of a shock in the hurling semis tomorrow?the well will have to improve big time to beat na piarsaigh, however they do have a lot of individuals who are as good but they all must produce at the same time..killmallock have struggled in the two games they won and probably are lucky to be still involved..however they know how to grind out wins, conceding huge amounts and still winning..doon are without a game now for a few weeks and it might hinder them,if they decide to turn up and play then they will win, have the players on paper now need to do it all together on the field..I'll tip na piarsaigj by 6 and doon by 4..

Have to say the club championship has got boring in the last few years. 5 years running the same 4 in the semifinals. And Na Piarsaigh look like they are nicely ahead of the others. Doon can't seem to do it in finals. And Kilmallock's best days are behind them.

Would have to agree regards senior championship becoming very stale. If you look back over the past 5 to 6 years these clubs have mainly also been in the last 4 of the premier 21s championship also. Was at the intermediate semi finals in Ncw and must say I've been very impressed with the progress Croagh have made the past 2 to 3 years. Effin no doubt will be favourites as young O Donovan has been a major addition but I think it may be a cracker of a final.

Yes indeed. Hopefully in the next year or two another one or two clubs will start challenging at senior.

I have to apologize to killmallock,I didn't see that win coming for them, especially on the back of their performances v Ballybrown and south liberties..is it a case of finishing top of the group not suiting doon?

Possibly. Or then again Ballybrown and South Liberties could be making progress ....

Back to a traditional final in Limerick in 2 weeks time- should be good 1 as they usually bring the best out in each other. Byrnes looked to have a nasty injury at the end but hopefully will be ok. NaP just have too many leading players out at the moment and need a re-charge while Doon looked off the pace and looked like they believed Kilmallock were a spent force.

I got the well result completely wrong to and thanks be to god I'm not a betting man..I suppose I shouldn't really be surprised because the well are the one club who never mind playing na piarsaigh.has the makings of a very good game..I hope weather holds up and on a day like today it could be brilliant..if Byrnes makes final I'd give the well the nod, however going by my previous predictions I'm way off..

Just going to go with my predictions for the upcoming county finals,

SHC Patrickswell
IPHC Mungret
IHC Effin
JHC Not a clue. get it wrong every year.

I have no connection to any teams involved but I am hoping for a cracker in the senior final. Kilmallock scraped through and will be hard bate. Still think the well have too much fire power for a leaky Kilmallock defence.

Think Mungret are the best placed team of the 8 in the IPHC to push on at senior level. Cappamore wont fear them though and will die with their boots on.

Effin were the favs a long way out in this grade and are holding strong. Young O Donnavan seams to be pulling up trees and a top class forward at that level will go a long way to getting you over the line.

All told I am looking for to 3 great games next weekend.

I'm agreeing with senior and premier inter predictions..I can't see the well concede the scores that south liberties or doon managed against killmallock..also if Byrnes is available then I'd tip the well by a couple of points..Mungret have been in latter stages for last few years and will surely see this as their best chance of getting back to senior status..they have a lot of very promising young hurlers from minor and 21 teams of last few years..I think they'll beat cappamore by 5 or 6 points..I'm going to tip croagh to win intermediate final, only reason being they are on a roll at the moment after winning juinor,it's s great oppurtunity to keep going..looking at the juinor it might be any of the eight left but I'll go for kileedy..

Will both Casey and Murphy out for the foreseeable will serious injuries. Who do people think may make a claim for a regular league corner forward spot. The way Oisin O Reilly has been playing for Kilmallock I think he's worth a shout. What are people's thoughts?

Pat Ryan
Darren o Connell
Cathal o Neill
David Dempsey
Adrian Breen
Graham Mulcahy??

They will all be vying for that 15 jersey. You will also have the likes of Adam English being fast tracked in I'd imagine. I've seen oisín o reilly twice now and he looks like he has bulked up well and conditioned more for senior inter County. He also hasn't lost any bit of pace so I think he'll be drafted back in to compete there.

With a bit of luck Peter casey could be in for the latter stages and everyone's recovery can be different.

I think he has 2-11 from play scored in the last 2 games, and man of the match both days. Strikes me as a fella who might not thrive in the corner, but would on the wing, or even centre forward.

O Reilly is flying and will surely get a call back again..o Connell played well with kildimo/Pallas so probably deserves a few runs to see how he gets on..another who has shown up well I'ds d demsey,if he can stay injury free them he would be a huge addition to limerick..any possibility of Jason gillane being used as a forward?scoring very well..of the younger hurlers,I'm sure an eye being kept on hurley(Newcastle)o connor(Ballybrown)english(doon)keane(adare)and donovan(Effin).another who might have caught the eye is quilty(blackrock)..
