Very disappointed that the admin have decided to go this route. Our forum wasn't the most popular but I fear the new format will kill any platform for our supporters to discuss the going ons in the county.

Hopefully we can keep the chat going with semi-finals coming up.

On that note, the website has no confirmed fixtures yet??? Not ideal for clubs with players traveling from the uk.

P.s. As Tony Mc would say, no Hurling allowed :)

Ya disappointing to see forum gone but anyway. I think it's ridiculous not to have fixtures confirmed a week out from games. Not everyone has a 9-5 Monday to Friday job but seems to be a regular theme this year with fixtures

Fixtures should be up much earlier. I know the county board are very worried about both Markievicz Park and Scarden as they are borderline whether they will be playable or not. Underage games got moved this week from Markievicz Park as it was unplayable. Scarden is a mess, a very expensive mess. No idea why they fixed 2 games for next Saturday and 2 more for Sunday . It won't take them if there's any rain. I feel sorry for the 2 teams who will be playing the last game there next Sunday.

Eoin Og you are correct about Scarden, it is a very expensive mess. How much was the new pitch in Markievicz? I would say it is an expensive mess also.

Why isn't the Easkey and Farnan's game in Enniscrone?? Or why not have Tourlestrane and Curry in one of the grounds in South Sligo?? Oh wait that would be common sense!!!!!!

I'd imagine the reason all semi finals are in Markievicz is so they can stream them but now that there's no real cap on tickets I'd say streaming numbers have fallen. So if Markievicz isn't up to it it would make sense to move the South and West local Derby's out to their own spot.

The unavailability of Scarden is a joke. The whole purpose of it was that it would be playable when clubs facilities aren't.

Live streaming.Thats the buzz word this year. Co Board are more interested in showing games across the globe than catering for the local loyal hardy supporter. Markievicz Park is supposed to be the most suitable venue for live streaming so they are happy to forfeit an extra 100 supporters at a good venue with no streaming as opposed to looking after Bill in San Francisco or Tom in Melbourne by live streaming on a bad pitch with a handful of supporters.

Predictions for the weekend:
Senior: Tourlestrane to have too much for Curry and Coolera to get over Drumcliff.
Intermediate: Farnans to beat Easky but this one might take more than 60 minutes. Molaise to beat the Bunnies.
Junior: Pats to beat St Marys handy enough and Michaels to overcome Owenmore

I expect Coolera to dispatch with Drumcliffe. I think Curry will give Tourlestrane a good run but still think Tourlestranes experience will win out.

In intermediate I think Easkey will work Farnan's and could be a shock on the cards with Bunnies as they seem to be making gradual progress.

In Junior Michaels and Pats to win.

In relegation then I think Tubber and Calry will win and Ballymote and Harps in Inter.

Tourlestrane and Coolera should win in the senior. Easkey to also win and as there's always a surprise lurking in semifinals I will chance the bunnies. Ballymote and Harps should win the relegation in the inter and Tubber and Coolaney will survive in senior. Owenmore Gaels to beat Michael's in one Junior semi and Pats to join them in the final

I must be missing the point here somewhere. Both Junior B games get the primetime slot of 8pm on a Friday night. One game actually took place in the Connacht Centre of Excellence. Junior B is basically a fourth tier championship. Then today we put out our senior and intermediate gteams in a mud bath in Markievicz Park. As the first game goes to exhra time the second game gets changed by a half an hour at the drop of a hat. I pity both teams in this second game as they probably arrived with a bit of a warm up done in a nearby pitch only to find that they can't access either the pitch or the stand for final preparations. What a shambles. Out the road in Scarden it's not fit for purpose

Best weekend been ever had in club football?

It had everything. Extra times, penalties, bad refs...

Great comfort in watching the four games on the stream from the house and in fairness the commentary quality was good. What it has shown though is time keeping should be taken out of the hands of the referee or else someone needs to monitor it as the difference in approach to added time in both intermediate semi finals was massive! Bunnies were hard done I felt but still shouldn't have lost such a big lead. Easkey then got every opportunity to get to extra time

In senior Coolera look like this is the year for them to break Tourlestranes run given their very clinical display.

Elsewhere no great surprises really bar the margin in Junior games.

Great weekend of football and the streams worked well I have to say for the most part. The biggest pity is the state of the so called county ground pitch (I won't even mention Scarden as that is beyond ridicule at this stage). You have to wonder after the investment made in Markievicz how it is so poor after a decent drop of rain. There are club grounds in the county, Tour and Owenmore Gaels to name 2 who are better equipped to take the rain and remember they get far more traffic throughout a season that Markievicz and are still in better nick. What was achieved after closing it for a year and working on it and we have this scenario play out?

Football wise fair play to Curry for really putting it up to Tour, they were excellent in patches and could have pulled out the shock of the last few years. Experience just told in the end and Tour in ET were never losing. Curry spent years trtying to get out of the intermediate and when they finally did almost made a senior final so goes to show the margins can be fine at times.

Coolera look very strong, easily dismissed DRP as was pretty much expected. They are a fine team now and could certainly end the 6 in a row bid. A goal after 10 seconds and they never looked back. Any team with Niall Murphy and a decent unit around him has a chance.

Bunnies and Molaise was drama filled. Some of the football Bunninadden played in the first half was of the highest order and they built a good lead. Molaise however were always going to come back at them and they did, some dubious frees in scorable positions gave them oxygen. After going ahead given all that had happened in the half surely there was more time available? Thought Bunninadden were hard done by on that front but got good value for my tenner. Molaise will need to improve for the final.

Didn't see any of Farnans/Easkey game but well done Farnans. Div 2 winners and now into the final, a good year so far.

Almost lost in the above drama Tubber beaten by their neighbours Coolaney/Mullinabreena on penalties in the relegation semi final. I don't think many predicted that. It would be a shock to see Tubber down but just look at Eastern Harps battling in the intermediate relegation semi final to get out of dodge.

In the junior Pats and Michaels will do battle. Not really a surprise lineup. Thought Owenmore Gaels would give Michaels more of a game than the score suggests though.

Not much action happening this week. Markievicz musn't be in great knick when no game this weekend on it.

Anyway might as well through a prediction out.
Curry to win the Junior B. Castleconnor to survive the Intermediate relegation and Geevagh to make the return back to Intermediate.
