Good effort, if only we took more of our goal chances. Easily could have had another 2 or 3 goals

We also have up possession very easily at times and the Dubs punished us each time by adding a point

Good learning curve today....missed afew good chances and coughed up a couple of easy possessions and got punished for it.....they will learn greatly from today's experience

Dublin are on the next level, they weren't at their best today but we were able to put it up to them for large periods of the game. Shot ourselves in the foot not taking chances and coughing up possession coming out from the back. That said a great league campaign, a huge stepping stone for us staying up in division 2, lots of lessons learnt, great potential in the group, let's hope for a positive championship campaign to round off a great season so far

I wasn't overly disappointed by yesterday, against the level of Dublin you have to judge the performance more than the result and we stayed competitive for around an hour. We got turned over far too much and missed some big goal chances but overall I think we competed well. It was great to see the team get applauded off the pitch, they deserve it for an incredible league campaign, and we should have great hope going into the championship now.

Finishing 3rd in Div 2 is a great achievement considering how the league started.
The game yesterday was a free shot and they stayed with Dublin longer than any other Louth team in recent memory.
MH probably won't be too disappointed with yesterday, Div 2 status is secure for next year and Sam Maguire football should be secure for this summer. Div 2 will be very competitive again next year with plenty of local derbies.
There are a lot of positives to be taken from the whole campaign, Califf, Lynch, Jackson and Downey have really stood up.
However, we really need Mulroy back for the long range frees.

Had Louth grounds for a penalty yesterday, I thought a Louth player was fouled on his way to goal in the penalty area.

It didn't seem to get any attention last night or maybe the player in question just lost his footing in his race to goal.

Tremendous league campaign. The whole outfit are to be applauded. A young team and so much ahead if they stick together and keep the hard work up. Very Louth N proud

For sure , grimes is the biggest man on the pitch so tends not to get those calls , he also managed to get the pass away even after the hit which didn't help his case, reality is if it was a smaller man or he went down easier it probably would have been given.

Great league performances after the shaky start and the loss of Casey and Sam. Well done Mickey ,selectors and the panel. We expect to be much stronger for the Leinster final. Hopefully the way there will not have too many scary moments and that we take all the scores that our buildups deserve. It's a long time since we had such confidence at this stage. Roll on Westmeath but be wary.

Well done to them. Mikey Harte is a difference maker to be sure. Best of luck in the Championship!

Navan or Tullamore the venue for the Westmeath match, praying it is in Navan due to the fact we play very well there and also the easier to get to.

Last years trip to Tullamore in a day of monsoon weather for a drubbing off Kildare was a nightmare over and back !

Yeah I thought the Louth player in question didn't dive, & was heading to goal with intent. Louth don't seem to get those calls. Just expected the Sunday night GAA coverage to have another look at it.

I felt a Louth goal at that stage of the game would really be a massive lift to players & supporters.

100 % a foul, but possibly just outside the area,Louth probably shud of got 2 more close range frees aswell(not saying it cost Louth the game)but it's annoying when you see them not been given as you said the bigger Counties always get them.....

Overall it is very good what is going on with the Louth Team.

I thought when the ball hit the bar it was a massive turn in the game.

Can we get to a Leinster final and really give them a game, I hope we do not do what Louth teams have done over the years and blow up in the Champo but this teams seems to be different and well coached!

Great performance by the senior team. We were not far off them. See what they do to Derry in the final Sunday. We opened them up a good few times. It was really a 3 point game, with a bit more composure and taking our frees we were in the game. Dublin did their drift as usual, but we fought to the end. Best I have seen from a Louth team in years. Dublin will get better, but so will we. They have a few players coming back, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a few U20s coming onto their panel. They are good TBA. Let's see if we can get to the Leinster final and go again at them. Great effort, Up the Wee county.

No point Westmeath turning up if Louth are already in a Leinster final..

Some performance by the Wee County last Sunday against the Dubs. There was a great Louth support in Croke Park. Peter Lynch was my man of the match for Louth. Roll on the Championship against Westmeath. Hopefully this match will be in Navan. An Lu Abu.

Well, A great league campaign by our new and exciting Louth team. On to Leinster Championship starting this Sunday, 9th April, 3 games preliminary round. Interesting to see who comes out of it, fancy Laois, Offaly, and Wicklow, but Longford will be hard bet at home on that bog of a pitch. Then Sunday 23rd April, the quarter finals when we take on Westmeath. Always a good game there. I hear Heslin is injured, if true and we have Sam back, we are definitely well capable of beating them on current form. This could be our year as we are getting good at winning. An Lu Abu.
