Junior A is flying under the radar about how competitive and tight this is going to get. The blues certainly favourites but as for the rest of the teams in totally up in the air anyone can beat anyone as shown in the group stage matches with myshal beating asca pal beating myshal asca beating leighlinbride and leighlinbride beating palatine. Between those 4 teams it's a complete toss up and if I was a gambling man id have pal and asca coming threw the quarter finals with pal beating myshal and asca beating Kilbride

Week 10 in a row now for dual players, 11 if they're playing hurling semi finals, 12 if they're then playing football quarter finals. God only knows what will happen next year if we have a 7 team senior hurling championship and a potential Joe McDonagh final in early July. 12 rounds of group games bet into 8/9 weeks?

These clubs don't have 30 players of senior quality to rotate or aren't like the Kilmacud's or Na Fianna with only a handful of dual players. The traditional football clubs will get stronger and stronger while others like MLR, Fenagh, Bagenalstown etc. fall away."
If a team made a hurling final last year, how many weeks in a row would they have played? Say MLR & Naomh Brid?

In the Senior, there were 5 teams so 5 rounds to run it off in consecutive weeks with each team getting 1 bye. Semi finals were played straight after the group stage so 5 games (4 group games and a semi final) in 6 weeks. Then 2 week break to the county final on 24th August.

The football championship started 2 weeks after that on 6/7 September. MLR would have played 4 weeks in a row in football through group stage and quarter final. That works out at 10 games in 14 weeks I think.
