Replying To gunman: "We all know that no matter how much you are provoked you are not supposed to strike.BUT,You will always see that the person that retaliates gets sent off and the perpetrator gets off scot free.It is human nature to react but you just have to bite your lip as you do to all the sledging during the game. The whole episode was very similar to the end of the league game in Letterkenny in 2022.I don't understand the allegations of sectarianism since both outfits are from the same demographic." There lies the problem. Unfortunately, we're not from the same demographic. But, as GAA gaels, solidarity & unity is very important to us all.

Replying To brayballer: "The Donegal player was unsporting and childish and no point in trying to defend that carryon.Donegal well able to whinge about Dubs playing in croke park and whinge about Armagh but when someone points the finger at them its wrong." The only ballers in Bray are hurlers and soccer players. Stick to what you know lad.

Replying To cds: "I couldn't believe the simple scores donegal missed in et even the free before pmcb came back on.. just felt like we would do it grugan miss was crucial and then yous punished it straight away with a goal. We just couldn't get the 2 points ahead.. I actually really like donegal I know there is a bit of niggle but still find it healthy.. mcfadden fury bit uncalled for if he did say them things don't even mind the roaring but if he did say things not good. But all gaa teams have assholes who play on their team...I certainly hope yous beat tyrone lol
An I would like another game with yous later on. I think we could be better depending on what levels rian and mckay can get too. In et when grugan mcquillan went off we were hanging.. o'neill murnin and crealy too." agreed on all counts except meeting again, my heart can't take it!

Moving on from all the nonsense anyway, I think every player involved had huge contributions and barely put a foot wrong on Saturday evening but a couple I want to mention that might not get as many plaudits or be namechecked in the podcasts or newspapers, not as well known maybe as some of the bigger names like Langan, Thompson etc. (who were all fantastic as well):
Brendan McCole was fantastic until he had to go off, some of his tackling and scrambling when Armagh countered quickly was just top top class. And his final play where he got injured might have been the winning of the game for us on it's own if we had not then turned the ball over and given up a 2 point free (though I don't hear many talking about that free, I thought it was harsh enough on McGonagle). McCole has just been such a brilliant find for us in the last few years after some difficult days out for himself when he first hit the scene, he has locked down that jersey and full back line now, he is so so solid now and I just love watching his tackling
Eoin McHugh when he came on got on an awful lot of ball and was very good in possession I thought, I will be first to admit I had some doubts about him coming back on to the panel specifically with games like this in mind, but jeez I needn't have worried I thought he was very good and much needed pair of fresh legs, someone to carry the ball and make those runs when we needed in extra time because Ryan had gone off and Mogan looked out on his feet
Shane O'Donnell just gets on so much ball and what an engine, I don't think he got on the scoreboard (had the first shot drop short) but he is so key to how we play in attack
Ah I'll stop there because I'll just end up naming all of them, but I thought McMenamin was great when he came on, Niall O'Donnell obviously with the 2 scores in ET including the winner he is such a talent, McGonagle maybe the most important player in our back 6? Big Hughie put in some shift and what a finish for the goal

Tyrone game confirmed for Saturday week at 7pm. Hopefully we will have MacCumhaill Park rocking and a full deck to choose from. We're going to need to be at the pitch of it again.

I'd actually have preferred Dublin tbh. Would have been some unique occasion too.
Thank god we avoided group 4 though as I'd really fancy Derry to have a serious kick off 7 weeks prep.
Very feasible both Donegal and Armagh get caught next day after such a tough campaign and final.

Tyrone will love coming into this game in Ballybofey with all the talking up being done of Donegal. No more than Armagh there will be very little difference between us and Tyrone, all down to getting the best performance out of ourselves on the day, home advantage and a huge home support will help, hope the weather holds good till then.

Replying To ArmaghAndProud: "Except the same player does have history with Armagh for the same behaviour in 2022 which started a row." No I don't think so, I think he dropped out of the 2022 panel due to work commitments abroad. That incident involved different players from the same club as him.
