Replying To THE EXTRAMAN:  "You can call it what you want but Eunans failure to make in progress in ulster is a failure for such a large club. It's easy to say it's bitterness which it is not by the way I would love to see donegal teams going latter stages and winning ulsters and competing in all irelands. But the hard question is why eunans who everyone would agree have the most rescources in donegal fail so badly."
I think the problem is the standard of football in Donegal . Eunans won the county championship without having to be at their best in most games. Their first half display against Naomh Conaill was probably the only time they hit top gear.

Replying To RoryGall35:  "I am absolutely gutted and disappointed about last night as a st Eunans man..but one thing from last night if jim doesn't pick Conor Morrison for county I don't know what he has to do..he was outstanding last night..one of the best players on the park"
Commentator said last night that Morriston is based in Amsterdam and had been commuting back for games. Is this a long term situation, could be an obstacle to him returning to County panel.

Well gweedoire won ulster and NC have gotten to two finals and were beat by a point by last years All Ireland winners so I don't think the standard is a big issue. Some good individual performances in eunans jersey which bode well for county next year. But as a team eunans seem to lack that bit of togetherness to progress

The u21 'A' championship is shaping up to be a good contest, some good teams and plenty of tight games. I did notice that Four Masters gave St. Eunans an almighty tanking although I'm not sure if perhaps there was a few senior players that sat that game out or something else that caused such an apparent gulf in quality.

It's simple... They're a far better team.

Under 21s seems wide open this year. Gaoth dobhair favourites again had a good win away in Buncrana today.
Bit of a surprise maybe Ballyshannon beating Glenswilly but Jack Gallagher is the in form forward in the county at the moment. 2nd highest scorer in the senior championship in a very poor Ballyshannon side and I see he got 9 points today. Only 18/19. Surely has to be on the radar for 20s or seniors at this stage.

Replying To letterkennyGuy:  "100% correct. Most likely a bitter comment from a fellow county man! Eunans controlled the game in the second half and should have seen the game out without doubt!
They can hold their heads high but tonight will be hard to take. That's football"
Does anyone know why Niall O'D didn't start. I heard it was because McGeehin was flying In training

Is he not the one age as Stephen McBrearty and the likes? He's become a good club football after all the injury problems over the years, but I don't think there's any sense in hyping him up for county panel. Id say he's delighted to have just finally settled back into senior club football.

I'd agree the margins tend to be very tight. The Donegal senior club sides have been very competitive to the top teams club teams in recent years but always seem to leave close games behind them. Unfortunately you don't win games by winning the possession stats. Patton gave Eunans incredible platforms last night and their defence largely kept Errigal quiet but not having a cushion they should have had in injury time made the poor turnovers more costly.

Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin, Muff, had a good win against the Antrim Champions on Saturday in Letterkenny. Concerning to see Caolan McColgan coming off before half time with an injury. Hopefully it isn't too serious and he is back for the Semi Final in a couple of weeks.

You'd think though that Niall O'D should still have started? He wouldn't have been able to take a holiday all year. Did they really shout themselves in the foot?

Ciaran Moore would have been a big loss to Eunans at U21 level. Probably a few more played Sat evening.

Mad that the U21s was fixed for the morning after the Ulster Club Championship.

See Declan bonner win another championship at the weekend. I would say it's rare to win two championships in successive years in different counties, anyone know was it done before..

Managers move around that much nowadays it most likely has been done before although I wouldn't have any names to hand.
