Are Convoy to blame for Devenney leaving for Eunans or a farmer leaving for Gweedore? Players leaving Newtown is a Newtown problem. peiledoir20 (Donegal) - Posts: 1084 - 09/03/2024 12:22:11 2530434 Link 0 |
We are all adults except for those who try to disrespect other clubs by not using their proper name?

He called his own club Newtown so go figure? Thankfully not everyone is as sensitive as the Glenties posters. peiledoir20 (Donegal) - Posts: 1084 - 09/03/2024 12:59:39 2530443 Link 0 |
You called your club Convoy so what's the problem with me calling my club Newton. Ineligible players playing Junior A championship, now that is embarassing. Have a look at that rather than what I call my club or where other clubs are placed. Whateveryourhavingyourself (Donegal) - Posts: 59 - 09/03/2024 13:57:59 2530450 Link 0 |
Wrong in a lot of things lad. But sure you go and ignore people when they prove you wrong. Haha sad really

A forum online is prob not the best place for someone as sensitive or easily offended that takes offence to that. I may be an old lad in my mid 50's but I'll never understand the youth of today always looking to be deliberately offended by everything. Get outside more maybe into the fresh air. eunans4ever (Donegal) - Posts: 1682 - 09/03/2024 16:32:44 2530483 Link 0 |
Your not allowed to call them Glenties - you'll wind up the over sensitive brigade

Gary McDaid used to love talking about how small Glenswilly was. 300 families. He used to throw that into alot of his interviews. Maybe that's where the myth of Glenswilly being the smallest parish came from. Plenty of clubs with a smaller pick than Glenswilly going by the last census. (Rounded to the nearest hundred for handiness). Pettigo - 600 Na Rossa - 800 Kilcar - 1300 Naomh Columba - 1500 Naomh Ultan - 1600 Glenfin - 1600 Robert Emmet's - 2000 (taking into account those on the Donegal side that would fall into Urneys area) Naomh Bríd - 2100 Naomh Conaill - 2300 (Huge parish geographically, with a sparce population) Glenswilly - 2500 Downings, Fanad, Red Hugh's all in around 2700. You made the statement about being an adult. Start acting like one.

Convoy might be embarrassed if they ended up on the high steps...

Could anyone who was at the Louth game give an opinion on whether Moore is a serious option for the full back line? And I saw from highlights that McCeallbhui was wearing number 3 - did he play in the full back line too? How did he fare? Jeaic is a sticky man marker so could be an option there. I heard a McGuinness in an interview after the match saying he was very happy with how Moore fared there, and that in the modern game you need the full back line comfortable going forward and contributing in attack. That's probably why he's shown interest in Kevin McGettigan, I wonder is he injured too or is he just moved down the pecking order. Hopefully McCole will be back soon but who knows... I can't really judge that yet. Even been at the game it's really hard to know exactly were players are playing. I can say though that he pace real pace and very good engine. He could take men in and beat them for pace and think he's very close to a starter somewhere on the team. Some of the other possible starters just don't have the pace he has. When bringing the ball out they often have to cut back and don't think that's a game McGuinness wants to play. He probably has to add finishing to his game and if he does that he'll become very effective.

What % of those numbers are left foot footers? bit like taking the population of Fermanagh when comparing intercounty teams stats, you have to drill down a bit further.

yeah he seems to have a great running game. yeah I know what you mean, I think players play all over now. maybe the difference between full back line / half back line is irrelevant. Everyone has to be fit to do everything.

Moore as posters have highlighted has serious pace. This helps him recover if a man gets past him. I really like the idea of Moore in the full back line. His man got away from him a few times and scored but Moore set up 3/4 scores also. We need to take into consideration that this was Moore's first time playing FB. He's a starter in my eyes come championship. Where, I don't know. TheRock2121 (Donegal) - Posts: 1197 - 10/03/2024 18:41:46 2530629 Link 0 |
