A couple of the other games this weekend could determine the approach for the Armagh game. Firstly, we have to do our own business and win against Fermanagh. Then, will Louth take another 2 points towards safety from Meath, and can Cork bring Cavan back down towards the pack? Armagh will beat Kildare, leaving them in relegation trouble. I think Jim could be guarding our game plan a little. I think Jim has a plan for midfield which he is hoping not to have to unveil for another while. I don't think either Jason McGee or Michael Langan, arguably our preferred midfield combination are too far away from fitness, buy will they be used together before Celtic Park? Is there a lot at stake? It's pretty likely that both will make top 2 and get promoted regardless of the result in that game. I don't see Jim revealing too much in a game like that. I'd prefer we hold off and lay down a marker in the Division 2 final if we reach it and take home the silverware, as we would most likely face Armagh in that game too. I remember in 2014 we were brutal in the Div 2 league final v Monaghan. If I remember rightly the lads did some really heavy training in the buildup and looked totally zapped. The forecast is for a very wet day on Saturday, I suppose as long as it's not too windy it won't be too bad, pity this game wasn't played in Ballyshannon, it would suit both counties better and given it a real derby feel for fans in a venue close to both counties. Aye but their games are usually coming fast and furious, like often they play 2 games per week, so less time to analyze opponents in great depth like we do in GAA, Here we have >4 months to study maybe 7 or 8 games featuring Derry (And Vice Versa) before Championship, how they setup defensively, how they attack, kick-out strategy and how they use their bench etc. HSE patient medical records probably lack the level of detail some Inter-county teams have on opposition players ahead of opening Championship matches. You can't suit everybody, that's just the way it is, poor knowledge of Donegal geographics indeed! that's the best one I heard on here in a while. must be a mid term break thing. Better playing in Ballyshannon or Ballybofey than trying to get through the traffic in Letterkenny mid day on a Saturday that's for sure. I think we should stop this moving of league games around the county, Mac Cumhaill park is our home pitch and that's were all our home games should be played end off. If game was in Ballybofey at a proper time, county board would have 2,000 extra supporters. That's another e30,000 on the gate. Very poor crowd, fantastic Stand and well organised venue. No excuses, with e tickets now, the County Board should be able to prove how many matches you go to and on that basis the Tickets for Celtic Park, Derry should be given out. Fair play on the win today, by far the better team in the second half. Don't think the performance today was a true reflection of what kind of team we are at the moment but ultimately the scoreline doesn't lie.
