Who would you like to see on the panel lad apart from yourself lol. Couple of wee questions who would your top 6 defenders be if all fit and who would would you delegate to man mark the top forwards. Nice simple question for you to maybe prove to people that you know abit about football and not your usual keyboard warrior who wudnt know an o Neills ball if it hit them on the head. I await your reply with interest.

Not a big fan of the Campbell appointment to be honest even though he is a one of our club legends. With it being under 21 Termon must have close to a full team underage again next year. Great to see them also fielding a second team. Most of the Mccumhaills main men are all at their final year and farah has to be a real difference maker. Though agree st eunans should be to good for everyone. Think they've five starters from the senior team and a few more very close.

Four masters really seem to be doing the right thing at underage. They won last years minors (played this year), lost the minor semi this year by a point to mccumaills. I think they won the under 15 and 13s and their second team at 13s also seemed very good. They are also in the under 21 semi. That's at least 6 years of good teams there and realistically that has to come through at senior. That very successful gweedore underage team a few years ago was one team and doesn't seem enough to sustain them at the very highest level. Although eunans gave a great bunch from say 19 to 23 their minors didn't seem to play minor A this. I'm not sure how that happened in a club with a pick like st eunans. Mccumhaills had a great year at minor this. Overall they're a team on the up but have they enough to compete at the very top. I'm not sure. Although termon got relegated they have a good crop around the 20 age bracket though again usually one good underage team is not enough to really make the difference at senior. All the very best to Paddy McGrath as he steps away from the county scene. What a warrior he was in the green and gold over the years. Such a pity he suffered the injuries he did at the latter stage of his county career. Sorry to hear Paddy is stepping away from county football, a great servant to the county and he can retire now with a Celtic cross and a pocket full of Ulster medals to go with it, we'll be lucky to find defenders half as good as him. Very well said Lock. What a player and servant Paddy has been over the years for Donegal. No doubt there would've been a couple of years more were it not for injuries. Tough as they come with a drive and controlled aggression to match as you say something we lacking in some of our young players coming through. All the best in your retirement Paddy and thanks for your contribution in some great days.

Separately I see the new Donegal jersey got released today in time for the Christmas market. Its the worst I have seen for many years. Far too much going on and some of the detail doesn't work like the 3 random lines on each sleeve. Agreed. It reminds me of a bad rugby league jersey. Sponsors plastered all over it. The county board seem to be more concerned with money and elitism these days they are slowly forgetting about the clubs. But they do have the club named embezzled on the jersey as well - a token gesture. Ya you nailed it it does look like a rugby league jersey. I do like the detail in having the clubs on it especially in a day when there is more diversity in terms of players picked from a wider range of clubs than days gone by. They have obviously foregone the 3 stripes down the sleeve to get the sponsors on but don't understand why they didn't wrap the stripes around the sleeve rather than the random 3 lines. The design on the yellow is unnecessary and not really a fan of that shade of yellow myself.

Nah its generally every 2 years to be fair. Probably be an alternative jersey released maybe in the new year or possibly wait till after next season for that.

Don't like the new Jersey but if we win Sam in it I'll frame one of them! Paddy McGrath, what a man. Brilliant in 2012 and superb against Dublin in 2014. As others have alluded to, we need men now to take on the mantle of the art of defending which Paddy had down to a fine art. What a wee terrier Paddy was.. Always gave 110%..always remember the Dublin 2014 where after a bad start he go going after 20 minutes. That's another defender gone now.. With that in mind who is our starting 6 full and half backs now.. I really think the time is for Ryan to move into half forward now and have backs now in back positions. What do yous all think? From watching the club championship I thought Brendan mcCole and C Ward really stood out.. Are these two players starters now.. Is Neil able for a full 70 minutes now.. As well as backs being able to defend,nowadays they need to be comfortable on the ball,attack and be able to take a score as now it is very often that they are left with the best shooting chances.If they can't do that the opposition have less people to worry about.As far as I know all the Tyrone defenders play in more advanced positions for their clubs.

Best of luck to wee Paddy on what appears to have been an'enforced' retirement. Paddy McGrath looked injury free last year and played well every day out for his club. Bonner again talking out both sides of his mouth. Paddy could and should still be there. @ Rory . Before u jump in, there's one and still the best man marker in the county.
