Longford had 3 or 4 out injured the last few weeks, Moffett, Kenny, Moran & Lynn all doubtful, Dessie R definitely out. All strong players hard replaced, but a chance/time for some others to put their hand up and be noticed. Fermanagh will have an eye on winning this competition so it wont be an easy game in Enniskillen, we might be in for a rough ride. botheyesclosed (Longford) - Posts: 155 - 08/05/2026 10:12:10 2671555 Link 0 |

I believe Peter Lynn is alright to play as of last week. Dessie out for 6-8 weeks which is a hammer blow Sportrex (Longford) - Posts: 19 - 08/05/2026 14:24:21 2671634 Link 0 |

Yeah. Encouraging display. Played well. Crucial period was the black card when we conceded 4 or 5 points on the bounce. Midfield was a problem. In the second half won little or no breaks. Played a lot of good football in the first half. The highlight of which was the build up and execution of the goal. Terrific vision by Daniel Reynolds to pick out the run of Oisin O'Toole who in turn finished very well. He has done so all year. Could have defended better for their goal altought their # 13 caused us plenty of problems. Some great score taking and off the ball working. Our inexperience is very evident. We need a D4 side in next round to progress further in the competition. We will be found out against higher class opposition. Overall heartening after the Westmeath debacle B&G (Longford) - Posts: 432 - 11/05/2026 12:57:01 2672303 Link 0 |

Mullinalaghta beat Rathcline by 5 points tonight, but in reality it was more than a 5 point game. For many, these 2 teams could be battling for the 4th and final spot in Group 1 of the championship and Mullinalaghta showed tonight that they are in pole position for it. Worrying times for Rathcline, who only last year their supporters were putting them forward for a title tilt, could be looking at going Intermediate next year. Are you for real? Rathcline were without Oran Kenny, Shane Kenny, Oisin kenny, Iarla O Sullivan and Bryn Peters. I'd say Rathcline will be satisfied enough considering who they were missing. They will have a completely different team out come championship.

The only player they were really missing was Oran Kenny, let's not beat around the bush here. Mullinalaghta were missing Paddy Fox who would be given the job of marking Oran Kenny. Last year Paddy Fox played injured against him, but all he scored was frees. I can guarantee that won't happen.
