Yes

Replying To liosbreac6265:  "Well done Abbeylara and Drumlish on their wins. Not many would have fancied either at the start of the year, but credit where it's due. It's impossible for Dolan to stay with Abbey now. There are not enough hours in the week to travel from Athlone to Aughrim, work, have a family life and manage a club which will settle for nothing other than retaining the senior championship."
Lots of intercounty coaches and selectors do it. He could let the brother work away and come back into the fold when the intercounty scene is done with. Wait and see he will be back with abbey yet

Can't see this happening. Clonguish will keep the two boys for another year.

Yes. They had a lot of injuries last year and the 2 lads will get another year and can blood in a few more of this year's minor team.

Not bad first half from abbeylara but fair beaten in the end with man down but still our record in leinster is shambolic putside Mulinalaghta win and wins in leinster we can't get past first round

Whether they should or shouldn't happen, it's in motion

Abbey stayed in it well in the first half and looked like they might have rattled Ardee with the second goal. But the better side won easily, and would have beat any Longford side yesterday. Faster, fitter, better up front. Disappointing that there hasn't been a single win since Mullinalaghta won it in 2018, but it's a reflection of the quality of the game in the county right now. Same in intermediate where an exciting but poor quality final leads to the champions being out in the first round against external opposition. We are a good bit behind other counties now.

Fair play to Grattans for getting the win at the weekend. Quarter final against Ellistown will be tough - they got relegated last year after being Intermediate since 2010, and senior before that since 2000. So that will be a tough ask.

Well done Granard on winning the U16 championship, a goal down with 5 to go and steadied themselves to stage a late comeback to win by 1.

That is not a fair reflection. Abbeylara were right in the match and probably the better team until the cards killed them. They were not far off Ardee at all in general play. I did not get a chance to see Drumlish but they lost a one score match. Both teams with only a few days to prepare. Excellent win for Grattans, I was not expecting that.
Granard are a force in waiting. A lot of talent coming through and no complaints about their win
