Replying To Spinx:  "There's 2 going down again next year as well. It will make the Intermediate more competitive and Junior as well as that is doing the same format.
We only have 2 sole Junior teams at the minute and that will increase to at least 4 by 2025 if not more."
That's if no sole team wins junior will 4 next year it will be otherwise and could 4 or by 26 but could be 4 by next year if sole team wins junior which is a strong possibility

That's why I said at least 4. But the possibility of Grattans or Legan winning it this year is not guaranteed. Killoe and Colmcille both have strong second teams. If neither junior team wins it, we will have 4 sole Junior clubs next year. Then next year, if 1 junior team does win it, you will have 2 more teams coming down giving you 5 junior clubs in 2026.

Apologies, I stand corrected about 2026. Intermediate is only relegating 2 this year and not like the the senior where they are relegating 2 this year and next. So by next year we could have 4 sole Junior clubs if Grattans and Legan don't win Junior this year.

Carricks case been heard today I believe. Surely they won't be successful and could go further to the DRA or will that be the end of the whole saga.

Carrickedmond appeal will be heard at Leinster Council tomorrow morning, with games either going ahead or not tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Likely outcome is that the appeal gets rejected by Leinster, and Carrickedmond might then refuse to play the playoff game against Slashers later which would trigger a technical forfeit where they would end up last in the group and facing Mostrim in the relegation final, which they will probably also refuse to play while they appeal to DRA.

Might have been smarter to postpone the weekends games until Leinster ruled on the appeal. If this goes wrong for CB, it will go very wrong and they may lose control of the narrative if it hits national headlines. Risky business.

The 'narrative' isn't relevant, only facts. The CB will only be worried if they have gotten some technical issue wrong. That's Carrickedmond's only avenue, as they lost the match

Willle, will you be taking in all the matches in Longford this week, QF double headers and Relegation playoff.
Do you follow the club scene in Leitrim or perhaps you are a Clonguish or Slashers supporter.

Hope to make the park tomorrow, I'm a neutral supporter when it comes to Longford but I would like to see a different winner this year.

Ardagh/Moydow relegated to Junior for 2025. The one remaining relegation spot will go to Ballymahon or Cashel if my calculations are correct.

So Carrickedmond win their appeal but the Co Board are proceeding with the games. They really are clueless.
