I am a big fan of Jack Duggan but what ever chance he had playing with Longford he wont see much game playing in Division 1 with Roscommon and in my own opinion will not get into the championship 26 man squad! I don't think that is true, but there is a bit of tension between himself and Paddy Christie. I think some disagreement happened in college in Dublin and reared it's head again last season in the league with Longford. I don't think he will be involved with Longford this season unless they have sorted their issues out, but that does not mean he will be declaring for us either! Just to add to the Duggan situation, he would have played with a couple of our lads while over in Chicago. That might have swayed him into looking into the transfer. I haven't seen too much of him play at senior. He looked to be the chief scorer last year for Clonguish and also played in 5 games for Longford in the league last year. You came up from Leitrim for an U21 (not U20) match? Duggan has been the club's leading player for the last three years. I had heard the rumours but never thought anything of them until it was confirmed last night. Parent rule you don't need to play for a club in the county. Cox played for Roscommon while he was still playing club champo in Kerry.
