Replying To ballymore1967:  "Killoe very unfortunate not to beat Clonguish. For all the talk about their young lads the Killoe youngsters seemed just as good. Darren Moffett went off injured, could be a big loss for the Killoe seniors"
Killoe would be very strong at under 21 this year.
This is the same team as the under 19 team who won it out 2 years ago.
The majority of the Clonguish under 21 team are under age for the next 3 years, some even 4.
Clonguish were also missing 3 starters from the senior team as well as a few more.
You seem to have a serious grudge against us.
A bit strange for it to be someone from Ballymore considering we don't even play each other that often!!

Killoe also won the Minor League Division 1 in 2021, so that team would also provide a few quality players to this years under 21 team.
I'm assuming the top 2 go through to a semi-final.
If that is the case Killoe and Clonguish will face off in the final.
Clonguish might have been missing a few but I would also say Killoe were missing a few more than that considering they are out in Leinster in 2 weeks.
When they are knocked out of that they will have all their Under 21 players back and I can see them reversing the score line from the weekend.

Yes despite Clonguish winning at the weekend, Killoe are the outright favourites for that competition and would richly deserve it for all the work they have put in underage

How did he say anything that makes you feel he has a grudge against you?

Is there lots of talk about Clonguish's young lads? Yes there is. I'd say half the country have heard of the promise of this young group of players currently coming through. You and other Clonguish posters are constantly heaping praise on them. I'd nearly say this will negatively impact them. How many times have we heard of young teams coming up with great potential then going on to win nothing. I hope this isn't the same case with this team. But I believe they've a few championships in them.

He said Killoe u21s seemed just as good. A fair argument no? They lost by 2 points and one of their best players went off injured.

You seem to get very rattled when people talk anyway negatively about this current group of players. Possibly are you afraid they won't live up to their potential and win a championship.

I took Ballymore1967's post to mean Clonguish are good but so are Killoe. I think those in Clonguish are running away with themselves over this great young team. The likes of Killoe, Dromard, Slashers, Granard and Colmcille will never be too far away. Wait to do your talking when they win a senior championship. Or maybe don't, remember how the famous 4 in a row speech in 03 turned out.

You seem to have a keen take on all things Killoe for someone from Ballymore.
Whilst simultaneously having a frequent distaste for Clonguish.
Strange stance to say the least.

Yes very keen on Killoe. Not Ballymore1967 saying they are the worst team in Leinster club championship.

If you have a bit of time, look back over his previous posts and all you will see is negative talk about Clonguish! And there is no denying Clonguish have a good group coming through, but that's from Minor down to Under 14.....thus is Under 21 we are talking about or have you not realised that?!! And again, what famous 4 in a row speech?? I'm sure you'll add some more lines to this ever growing story!!!

It was "5-in-a-row' speech which was made during the presentation of the Connolly cup in 2003. It's amazing that everybody remembers the speech except Clonguish folk.

We don't deny that 4 and 5 was mentioned.
But it's the context of what was said that has been twisted over the years and extra bits added in by petty people who are just on the wind up.
Go back and have a look at the video of his speech and see what EXACTLY was said.
Because I have the video of the 04 final and there was no guarantee mentioned on it!
And I also looked back on the 03 and 09 finals as well just to make sure the 'guarantee' wasn't on them ones either!

I know that Paul Barden is retired anyone who thought my posts about him still playing were genuine hasn't a brain in their head.

I've been at 4 Clonguish games this year I think I'd know he's been retired quite a few years. I must've posted every time Clonguish were playing "why isn't Barden playing? Is he injured?" then i'd get the same idiotic response from someone like yourself that does not understand sarcasm and when someone is stirring sh*t

Don't know where you came up with the word 'guarantee'. You are absolutely correct. It was not mentioned in the speech. What I recall was said in 2004 was 'This is the second leg of our 5-in-a-row'. It was incidently 5 years before they won another one.
As was said previously on this thread, it was a heat of the moment speech. He was trilled to have won back to back county titles. What was said was 'off the cuff'. But it is still remembered.

You're digging a bigger hole for yourself.
Mind yourself now or you might not be able to climb out of it!
If you go to a few more games next year, you might see him play!!!
