Replying To JimmyNail:  "Made a decent effort in the second half for 20 minutes to get back within 2 points but kildare gradually took control again their running power exposed gaps in our defence far too often. Hopefully we can get a win next weekend far from certain but that's probably as far as we're going"
Great to see Mark Plunkett back to form with 3 PTS yesterday. We can definitely make a semi final with the right draw

Replying To Leitrimforliam:  "Below are my league predictions for this year:

Division 1
1. St Marys
2. Fenagh

Winners: St Mary's
Relegated: Leitrim Gaels & Carrigallen

Division 2
1. Manor
2. Gortletteragh

Winners: Manor
Relegated: Aughnasheelin & Kiltubrid

Division 3
1. Aughavas
2. Dromahair

Winners: Dromahair"
Glad to see the club league being discussed should be a great league this year. Div 2 and 3 I feel could throw up some lively games.

Div 1 Fenagh, Carrick, Carrick to win
Last years promotions Allen Gaels and Carrigallen relegated, Leitrim Gaels should still have enough to hold

Div 2
Manor Melvin Gaels final, Manor win
Aughnasheelin relegated but hard to call another, annaduff and kiltubrid a big one next weekend

Div 3
Agree with you Dromahair Aughavas Final, but disagree with the winner, Aughavas bet Dromahair by 10 in the opener!

Cloone could challenge if they get a bounce too

Wicklow it is next weekend toughest of the potential draws in my opinion only lost to kildare by a point and laois also. Will need to be at our best to have a chance.

Wicklow the toughest draw we could have got. But a win over them would set us up nicely.

It's exactly the right draw for us - removes any form of complacency. Of course they're a serious outfit and are deserving of every respect. We've been at or about their level now for many years and Coach Moran may remind his charges than any silly indiscretions within 50m range will be punished by their goalie Mark Jackson.

Of course we're entitled to a shot of optimism but we'll earn it the hard way with Wicklow who are no mugs.

Feckin Wicklow. Worst possible draw. Waterford not qualifying from our group made it more likely not to draw London or New York. Tipp are in bother lately too and would have been a good draw. But Wicklow are resurgent since their League relegation. It's gonna be tough. Feckin Wicklow.

Pearse Park isn't blessed with parking either, i think Ballinamore would be well capable of holding it they used the school across the road for the Waterford game. I wonder is there some other reason.

School won't let them use it.. not sure if its the school or the higher authorities. You would imagine they could come to some agreement though.

Same in Pairc Sean on big match days, you think they could come to some agreement with VistaMed and that 2 story car park at Aventcard

I don't know what kind of attendance you lads will bring but I doubt that , given the hiding Fermanagh gave us, there will be a big travelling contingent. We will be travelling more in hope than confidence. Here's to a good game.

The 45,000 all seater arena isn't ready yet in Killargue

Well I'm sure ye will being a few hundred people and Leitrim will bring a decent crowd. Best place to have it is Longford, Ballinamore wouldn't comfortably hold a crowd of over 2k which this game could attract. As for the hope... we'll be hoping as well. Always tough to beat Wicklow.

Sligo or enniskillen would be fine if it's not going to held in Leitrim. But it's has always been the same. A very loyal fan base from north of the county traveling to Longford three matches in a row. Despit the fact that everyone south of the Shannon refuse to acknowledge this. All intercounty fixtures and training at all levels are based at the convince of southern based clubs. This is especially frustrating at underage. With parents being dragged up the county several times a week. This is par for the course and has been like this always in Leitrim gaa.

True points you raise.

What are the solutions?

1 Develop the Glencar Manor grounds

2 Develop the under utilised ground in Glencar as a centre of excellence for underage development in North Leitrim

There was 2,011 in Longford for 2 games last weekend. Be surprised if there is 1k in Longford on Saturday.

I expect a much bigger leitrim turnout on Saturday.

Support for the team in a tight game will be important.
