Replying To Ros2013:  "Winning without cregg, stack and fallon is a tall order."
Colm Neary named instead of Daire Cregg whose second appeal failed.

You must have the inside track Ros2013. If you told us before the start of the National League that the 3 St. Bridgets lads Brian Stack, Ruiadhri Fallon, Ben O' Carroll (4 including Eddie Nolan) and Daire Cregg would not be in the starting 26 for the Mayo championship match you would be disappointed.

I still give us a reasonable chance if we perform to our ability and don't have any more unluck on the day. All the starters have proven their worth over recent months in division 1 and should be up for the test.

Hopefully they will all be fully recovered and raring to go for the Connacht final.

Just watched back league highlights of mayo games this year. The full back line can be got at big time, we are not winning this game without a minimum of 2 goals, they are not good enough to mark agile players and need to exposed one on one. i can see why neary was brought in, to zone the semi d to mitigate there two pointers

Replying To dave1988:  "Strong mayo team named for Sunday."
Our attack looks decent. I've less confidence in our defence who were patchy during the league. No McBrien back there. Conor Loftus isn't a good defender. Don't think he passed the intercounty centre back test before. Would prefer McHugh in the corner in place of Hession and McBrien at full back. Paddy centre back, Hession wing back and Ruane in midfield. Very little chance of that happening though. Andy seems very keen on McBrien in midfield for his fielding ability.
