Some brilliant play today. They were in complete control of the game from start to finish. Ballina very poor and looked tired and out of ideas. Worry is goal chances given to other teams.should have been a bigger win today. Moycullen will punish us if given the same chances Ru fallon was excellent. Brian derwin an ciaran Sugrue were also very good. Brian stack covered every part of the hyde 2 good teams and should be a good game in 2 weeks. Well done to Roscommon county board. The pitch was in brilliant condition today also BrigidsToom (Roscommon) - Posts: 50 - 16/11/2025 20:27:21 2644854 Link 0 |

And would Westport have done any better than Ballina did today? Westport lost by 12 points to Moycullen 3 years ago. On the flip side Intermediate,Junior championships has been strong in Mayo. Kiltimagh should go on to win Connacht Junior after their penalty shoot-out win against Croans and Kilmeena will likely be favourites to beat Strokestown and win the Intermediate championship Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3786 - 16/11/2025 20:40:45 2644858 Link 0 |

Our junior and intermediate championships are top class to watch. Great football and entertainment. Mayo senior club football is dire. No surprise Ballina were well beaten.

Ha well If Ballin̈a have been poor for years in Connacht which they have been . It just goes to show how bad Mayo senior club football actually is. Noncense Westport had 2 chances to beat Ballina and absolutely fluffed it twice. They would not have done any better .

Did you not have a number of high scoring matches in the Mayo Senior club championship this year?

I hear Andy Moran has launched a big appeal to the Mayo diaspora for funds. Just got me thinking about Club Rossie and the COE which seems to have stalled despite planning approved. The win a home idea was brilliant but I get the feeling the third edition isn't exactly catching the immagination even though ticket prices are very reasonable and could do very well. But for long-term sustainable fund raising should we look at some of the LOI soccer clubs for inspiration? Our neighbours in Sligo Rovers seem to do serious fund raising from their support base which is still much smaller than even small county like Roscommon. What has happened the membership subscription? Seems like such a missed trick for consistent income. Great opportunity to relaunch that now, new managment team plus Div 1 football coming up.
