Replying To endgame:  "Same old failings did for Mayo. After they drew level , they kicked a few bad wides and handed the initiative back to Galway. Galway not overly impressive today. Certainly didn't have the look of All Ireland champions. Shows again how poor Roscommon were against them. As you say, work rate and intensity make a huge difference and Ros had none of either on Easter Sunday in Salthill."
Really highlighted our poor performance. But you could see as well Conroy and D'Arcy still caused a lot of problems but at least Mayo gave them more to think about and made them really work for it. Also how good Ben O Carroll is to not let McGrath have it all his own way. If management could just instill that type of fight and intensity we'd push a lot of teams, at least if you get beaten it probably down to the quality and skill levels of the opposition.

Replying To Ros2013:  "Bit late here but well done to the Rosu20s. Serious performance considering that Mayo team is superior in most areas. I think Kilkline should have started myself and was left on bench far too long but it will drive on the lad for the future, best of luck to Mayo in the semi final. No reason they can't go on to win. I know they've trained savage hard since being knocked out last year. Next up the minors who I think are a great bunch and I fancy them
To pip mayo in the final. The players and their families have serious respect for the management team so I'd be lining him up for our senior team next year."
After 1 year managing a minor county team?? Give the man a chance to develop himself!

Agree, so frustrating when we clearly have more skilful players than Mayo, but when you can't match a team physically now it's a waste of time. No matter who the mgt is it wouldn't matter. Not sure what does it boils down to, it's either not enough playing numbers or not enough money is being invested into underage players in terms of s+c who now have to be ready for inter county once they come in.

Does matter who the management is. It matters a lot. Roscommon players are better individually than the collective performance of the team and that has to be down to management.

Do we know when the Kerry game is fixed for? If there isn't a drastic improvement in work rate and tackling the score line could get very ugly very quickly. Brian Stack... hopefully will be back to full fitness..on David? Need someone with legs and physicality for Paudi, possibly Neary? Needs to be a better plan and better intensity around the middle as well, Kerry got on top of Cork there early on in their game despite Cork having big men.

Probably Saturday 17th afternoonn or evening.

To quote our manager "we have no business" going to Killarney if we serve up another watery oul challenge game type performance like in Pearse Stadium.

We'll live with an honourable defeat but a repeat of Pearse........

I'd take an honourable defeat and some of this weather in Killarney!

Roscommon haven't beaten Kerry in the championship since 1944. The All Ireland Final that year and the only time I think. We'll lose again on May 17 but with the way Roscommon have been playing, I'd take respectability coming out of Killarney.
