Replying To Tiger1:  "Agree 100%Roscommon needed a hand today."
I don't know where to start that Roscommon performance against galway was absolutely terrible we been complete garbage since that Meath game in the league except against cork and London.

I love the older lads and grew up watching them and their my generations hero's but some of them are just too flat had no energy or initiative compared to Ben o carroll and Colm neary the only young lad with some issues was Conor carroll with kick outs and lack of confidence even then he's young and not entirely at fault for that

you have Conor cox and donie smith coming of the bench but no offence to them but we need younger players Adam McDermott was class for Roscommon un20s in 21 and castlerea in 23 wasn't given a chance and now's he playing soccer Shane maginley from strokestown excellent last year with the un20s people voted his goal against Tyrone goal of the year so you would imagine he would of gotten at least one chance this year but no

I know the minors are doing excellent with a mayo management team but overall this outside management crap just isn't working we had a mayo galway and Kildare men in charge and we usually win division 2 or Connacht and we can't even do that anymore and that's all we have to show are we even gonna get out of a group this year

Compare that to Donegal with Jimmy or Galway with Joyce or even in Roscommon the successful clubs and un20 teams have Roscommon men in charge the next Roscommon senior manager has to be a Roscommon man and the senior team needs a soft reboot or at least gain their confidence back

Galway for sam blah blah yeah they were class today but their are second biggest rivals we should of been way more up for that we were completely outclassed and they didn't even have the two main men for the entire game just seeing the Roscommon fans leaving early was sad compared to 2016-2019 we're they were even battles

I see people saying the gap between 1 and 2 but look at cork yesterday and monghan today that's absolutely zero excuse for todays performance

ten hag winning the fa cup saved man united anoim might do the same with Europa but i dont think Roscommon can save their season and get to a quarter like last year in a similar way.

Expected a lot more from Roscommon a full blooded challenge in the faces of Galway giving no time to settle etc

Instead were allowed to claim so many restarts unchallenged and defensively Roscommon are all over the place. Trying to do one on one stuff leaving individual defenders exposed to two or three Galway players running at them. Roscommon U20s and U17s I've seen in action didn't defend in that manner so a big question why the Seniors did today? It will be Davy Burke final year as 3 years in you can't be that poorly set up and time to try someone else anyone local? Don Connellan has done well in club football and college level a possible option?

I couldn't see past Galway winning today and had it marked down as a 5 point win at least and might have been that if Roscommon applied themselves better. I'm sure it's a same for any team supporters if they lose to a hot favorite you still want to see your team carried out on their shield which never got close to happening today.

Rather dull non event of match in truth I don't think the new rules has helped Roscommon nor have the recent tweaks. Probably need to use the group stage for new or newish players as the whole set up have become very stale
