Is the entrance to the stand on Sunday only from from the Golf Club Road side a new arrangement?

Replying To The_analyser:  "You could get about 12/13 of that starting team right. I think management could start R Daly,C Lennon,T O'Rourke,

On Ben O'Carroll,Keith Doyle back in training but not long back so aren't expected to start. Won't surprise me if one or both aren't named on Thursday's published team just to keep Mayo management guessing."
I wasn't sure if Tadhg was fit, heard he had picked up a knock in a challenge game. But I agree, he would probably slip in. Ciarain Lennon could be wing forward , depends where he wants to utilize Enda Smith. Need the most out of Enda, Diarmuid and Cregg scoring wise I think to really take it to mayo.

There will be a lot of chopping and changing from the teams named. Kevin McStay will look to nullify Diarmuid and Enda, having worked with them before he knows how key they are to making everything tick for Roscommon.

Really looking forward to the game now, it will give us an insight into where we are tactically going into the All Ireland series. Hopefully Davy has learned from last year's group stage to manage the group's fitness as it will be a grueling few weeks - felt we were burnt out by the time the Cork game rolled around last year.

One thing I'm worried about is our full forward line during the league against mayo couldn't win a 50/50 ball against mayo defenders and were physically beaten all day all over the pitch . I'm hoping burke has come up with something over the last month because if we play at the same level we did during the league we will be in for a long day in the hyde. Mayo will want to get us back for last year so our lads better be ready for a tough physical battle Sunday"
`Hope to God there is a huge improvement. After such a poor league no one in the media is expecting too much from Roscommon. Very low key build up which is good. The Mayo game last year was talked up as a game they were targetting. Nothing like that this year. Davy has been relatively quite. As Devanney says, it suits Roscommon.

I know some people would say it's not as good a u20 group as some previous teams but there is some very talented players on that team and along with that some quite experienced for their age. Many of them starters for senior clubs, add to that young McGinley who's played in the Connacht club championship in a team that pushed Moycullen very close and Bobby Nugent has experienced an AI club final in Croker. It's no wonder they've been able to dig deep and never say die in their previous games. Best of luck to them later today.

There has been construction works going on in the main stand this past number of months so entry to the main stand has been via Golf Links Road due to lack of access from Athlone Rd. I'm assuming there is still some machinery or work taking place that means the road behind the town goal is still blocked. I'd imagine this is only temporary and normal access will be provided soon enough. It's giving a dry warm day for Sunday so hopefully a big turnout and a competitive game. Ros Comáin abú

If our players are not on up championship pace on Sunday, i afraid we wouldn't much hope. We have to get the balance right regarding players dropping back. Also have to ensure RO'D is starved of possession and i would go as far as playing sweeping in front of his area. Kickouts also need to be avoided to m/f to avoid the physicality mayo will bring.

Not on Sunday! But against any other county I'd be shouting for ye. I went to school with a lot of Michael Glaveys supporters from just across the border.

Fantastic 12 point win tonight for the under 20's team tonight. As Sligo beat Mayo it means that Roscommons scoring average is better than Galways and brings them straight into the Connacht final. Galway now play Sligo in the semi final. Only unbeaten team in the round robin and based on their performance tonight, they have a great chance in the final. We'll done to all involved. Our U20 footballers finished that group off in style and finish it the only unbeaten team and top the table.

The last two matches was ruined by weather conditions today have some wind and light rain at time but much better which allowed us to impress ourselves. Seven points ahead at half gave us the platform to win only bad spots was the two goal conceded that was preventable but can't complain too much when winning by a margin of 13 points and scoring 3-16 on Leitrim's home patch who was in confident mood coming into that game having beaten Mayo and drew with Sligo.

Good to avoid the semi final as we have a few players with knock that need time to recover. Looking forward to the final on May 4th against Galway or Sligo. Well done to the players and management.

Great stuff and well done team and management.
Written off in many circles before the competition, circles who should have remembered these lads bet Mayo and Galway at Minor 3 years ago.
Might have won the Final but for injuries to a few keeping players.

Davy Burke could do worse than bring in some of that u20 management team, seriously well drilled last night and apart from 15 mins against Mayo have tried to blend defense and attack. Speaking to a few players from the club they have really bought into the set up.

Well done to the u20s on a very accomplished performance.

Now is the time to start planning for the future by integrating some coaches from the underage set up into senior. I hope Davy does well and not knocking him or anything but I doubt he's here for the long haul. I'm sure he still has ambitions to manage his own county at some point.

Have management named their championship panel?

First time to see the u20's in this campaign, very impressed with the s+c of this team and shows a lot of these players (3rd goal great example) could step into the senior team in the years to come.

While the performance yesterday was very impressive I think that Leitrim had an off day while we had a very good day. Several of the players played very well and could well have a good senior career ahead.
Let's not get carried away after one win in four games, like Leitrim did after beating Mayo. Let's see how they get on in the Connacht final and hopefully beyond. Like the fact that management are very proactive with their substitutions. They obviously have great confidence in their full panel, and it has worked out well so far.

Anyone know who is coaching the u20's is it Frankie Dolan or who else is involved , they seem to be very well drilled and their workrate and tackling is very impressive.

Had a gawk on the Mayo GAA blog for a bit of insight into the weekend and get a feel for things that side of the fence. Now granted it is in the comments section but the main theme was swat us out of the way on Sunday, then a handy Connacht win against Galway and in the same breath talk of All Ireland semi finals :D I thought I was back in 1996 for a second!
