He did in first half serious size but ran down blind alleys got a few soft frees and penalties. They are both great athletes not sure if required football abilities jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1640 - 02/08/2025 09:36:18 2629747 Link 1 |

Monivea are awful poor, heading for intermediate definitely. Fitness levels doing look near senior level. Corofin cruising without doing too much. Molloy and Brady very good on the ball in midfield. Bit of a problem in goal for Corofin - Healy is a massive downgrade on Power. Some very loose kickouts. galway19 (Galway) - Posts: 947 - 02/08/2025 16:49:35 2629800 Link 0 |
Annaghdown missed a lot of frees in the first half and some two pointers which their goalkeeper missed. Kilcommins at 6 looks good and could be worth a shout to county panel. Howardhunt1 (Galway) - Posts: 82 - 02/08/2025 16:57:25 2629802 Link 1 |
Micheals, barna and monivea will be in the relegation fight with annaghdown potentially without comer but will survive easily. Barna senior for years but never competing just surviving. Clifden Aran kilconly and MB for the relegation with clifden for the drop. Sportsfanatic90 (Westmeath) - Posts: 235 - 02/08/2025 19:15:05 2629815 Link 0 |
Grand win for Salthill to start off with especially without Finnerty and Sweeney but they had some prolonged periods of poor play in that game and it was Mountbellew without Eoin Finnerty and Colin Murray as well as Mike Daly and Patrick Kelly obviously. Forward line will be stacked for Salthill when they have everyone but they will have to balance up the back line - they had Daniel O'Flaherty at a wing forward position today. I wouldn't fancy them to beat Corofin, Moycullen or even Tuam with the back line they are shaping up to have on the field. galway19 (Galway) - Posts: 947 - 02/08/2025 19:23:50 2629816 Link 0 |
You'd really be hoping for some outside the box thinking with regards to the Galway goalkeeper position this winter. The lads there aren't bad but when you look at what seems to have become the norm for a D1 side, the likes of Beggan, Rafferty, Ryan and Morgan, then it's a comparative weakness of Galway's no question. Who won between the Jimmies and Killanin today, What's T Score no longer with us.The GAA or local media don't update outside office for the most part and my profession doesn't facilitate radio listening all day. backtooldwall (Galway) - Posts: 163 - 02/08/2025 21:41:34 2629839 Link 0 |
The results are on www.galwaygaa.ie, The App for phone is not including those results. Jimmies lost. Killannin came from 8 points down at half time to win by one. ref (Galway) - Posts: 258 - 02/08/2025 22:13:15 2629841 Link 0 |
Mathew Barrett is a massive loss for Mountbellew/Moylough, he was such a dominant presence in midfield, and the recent rule changes would have really suited his game. Once again yesterday, Barry McHugh carried a huge burden up front. If they're to make any real impact in the championship, they badly need a broader spread of scorers. With the departure of three or four county-standard players, M/M have slipped back into the pack and are now just an average senior team, which is tough to watch. At their peak, they brought real balance to the championship, keeping the likes of Corofin and Moycullen on their toes. Ciaran Mulhern has already become a vital figure and will be key in trying to fill the huge void that's been left behind. WonTon5 (Galway) - Posts: 50 - 03/08/2025 11:29:34 2629876 Link 0 |
5 two pointers for Dara Walsh in that game if the match report is correct.
