You said shades of the All-Ireland final, in response to a few posters suggesting that Comer and Walsh shouldn't start against Mayo unless fully fit. So no shade of any colour of that at all, given they both started the All-Ireland. So we took Armagh for granted based on talk from supporters on a GAA website, but didn't show this with team selection as we did pick our best players? Was it the Galway management team and players who took them for granted based on this? Do you think they're letting the Hoganstand.com forum influence their approach to big games? That would be pretty worrying given some of the nonsense that's spouted on here. WanPintWin (Galway) - Posts: 2296 - 29/04/2025 15:45:09 2605426 Link 0 |
Ye your ignoring my point again and not adressing why you believe you're so superior to Armagh despite all the evidence showing thats not the case. I suppose whatever suits though.

Armagh got all the credit they deserved You Clare from the Mayogaablog taking about arrogance is funny so thanks for the laugh. It is factual had Galway a decent return on frees the final would have been won. Costly error by Joyce to not switch Walsh off them and it's something I'm sure he will learn from if faced in the same situation again. By the sounds of Joyce's interview with GBFM I wouldn't be surprised to see Cooke involved on Sunday galway19 (Galway) - Posts: 881 - 29/04/2025 16:49:03 2605455 Link 0 |
I'd imagine if o donoghue went to center forward McGrath definitely follow him with silke dropping back and Mulkerrins moving to wing ,, which is a position he struggles in

So now your point is that I think Galway are so superior to Armagh? Glad we've established that, but I'll ask to point out anywhere I've said that. I'll wait for to provide a quote from me saying we're much better than Armagh. No team is far superior to Armagh at the moment. They only lost on penalties to Donegal last year, beat Kerry after extra time and beat Galway by a point. That suggests they're a match for anyone and are potential All-Ireland winners again this year. Can they be beaten? Of course. Will they? We'll have to wait and see. We seem to be in a very competitive era now, with a number of contenders which is great for interest in the football championship. I wouldn't say any of the top 6 are far superior to any of each other. WanPintWin (Galway) - Posts: 2296 - 29/04/2025 17:49:39 2605487 Link 0 |
Mulkerins struggle at wing are you saying? He was outstanding there v Dublin. I wouldn't move McGrath out myself id have mulkerins tag him if he moves out, He did such a good job on Enda smyth last week I forgot he was playing till 2nd half. Another thing Galway did really well was target Donie Smyth when he came on. Most of our scores in last 20 minutes came from him been targeted and ran at by Kelly mchugh etc and he hadn't pace to track them. If AOS moves outfield they may well try similar with him and Towey also if he is involved jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1473 - 29/04/2025 18:43:26 2605501 Link 0 |
