Good to see Michaels appeal thrown out. They had plenty of games to avoid finishing dead last.

The lads name is Tomas Farthing from Spiddal and he plays rugby for Connacht so not available for GAA.

Alot of mixed emotions on the Tuam & Corofin game..

I would love to see Tuam nip Corofin but I cant see it, Corofin are coming into form and will have too much for Tuam I'm afraid.

Michaels issue a public statement to announce decision to appeal to the DRA..... madness... maybe if they had scored more than 1-1 v Mountbellew they wouldn't be in this situation.

Heard St Michael's going to DRA or is that a load of rubbish?

They should be automatically relegated to intermediate for trying to hold up the championship when they know the appeal won't go in their favour.

Micheals oughterard and caherlistrane have all lodged appeals, 3 poor performing teams this year looking for excuses. I wouldn't mind but micheals will prob be the best team involved in the round robin so they shouldn't be worried.

Are Oughterard even involved in relegation?Michael's trying to avoid it.You would never know with DRA.What games would it affect tomorrow then?

It's bull. The rules to be used in all Galway adult championships were clearly outlined at the start of the season.
Every team knew the situation. If you weren't good enough to qualify - take your medicine.

I disagree. Did the clubs really know the rules? Maybe they were posted to them and you could argue that they needed to read fully but in light of a general GAA rule being applied differently between codes there was a clear onus on the CB to make things extra clear. That would have prevented this dilemma. Now ,don't get me wrong, the rules are the rules, and ultimately I expect the appeals to fail, but I am delighted that there are appeals in order to call out these inefficiencies and maybe encourage the county board get their house in order for 2024. By the way I think the new rule is a good one. I'm no Michael's supporter but I'll tell you what is bull, people insinuating that they have no right to appeal because they only scored 1-1 in a game. St Michael got 3 points from the 2 games against their competitors for the 3rd spot and that would have been enough to see them through in most counties this year and probably Galway in 2024.

The only way that I can see any changes to the status quo is if the board have done something different to what is laid out in the group stages programme page 14 regarding final positions in groups.
