They'll have a tough job v dunmore. Caherlistrane and spiddal a straight shoot out but caherlistrane are starting to move in the right direction albeit a bit late.

Barna v Tuam will be a good game and barna could surprise a few.

Oughterard done, their style of play doesn't suit them but suppose it keeps them competitive.

Moycullen different level to MM, cgalway, Tuam and another level to the rest.

With regards micheals I can see why their up in arms, surely it should have been bottom of both groups of 6 be in relegation then 5th from those two groups play 4th & 5th of group 3, seems unfair they had 1 less game.

I have a feeling more appeals on the way three teams on 4 points in group 2, this could be nightmare stuff for the county board.

Was a surprise venue in the first place anyways.

Absolutely not. Prelim quarter final is on Tuesday and quarter finals next weekend. No time to be messing around with frivolous appeals that will be rightly thrown out quickly by the county board.

Just to clarify a couple of things here:

1 - The "problem venue" was not the only unplayable pitch out of the 3 senior games from the group on that day
2 - The same "problem venue" was requested by the County Board for the re-fixture but the venue was unfortunately already busy.

If they word there appeals correctly they will be successful and it will potentially stop the championship, the easy thing for county board is to throw it out but it may not be the correct thing to do, if micheals bring this to croke park can the tuam game be played regardless?? I sure hope it's not held up or we may have to nominate a club to represent galway and play championship when it's all sorted, a total disaster by the county board,

Earlier somebody mentioned Loughgeorge as a Venue. It is great if the crowd is not to big but I believe it was a condition related to the Grants and Planning that there would be no Gate Charges for any events there.

No planning permission for games - training facility only.

If they read the rules that were laid out and sent to every club before the championship started, there should be no grounds for appeal.
No team has been relegated yet. It's still in their own hands for any club to stay up. So let's get on with it.

The championship is not being held up for St Michael's. They should be embarrassed if they somehow got an appeal through and then lose by 15 points in the quarter final. That should be the end of that.

Why should they feel embarrassed i think they have a case to appeal weather they get beaten by 15 points after the fact that's not the point, but you have to admit this has been handled very badly by county board

Crazy to think the Galway footballers are back doing fitness tests (bronco test) every six weeks and we're still in September. Not particularly fair on the clubs either.

In other news Cian O'Neill is staying on for another year which most of us will think is great news.
