Replying To anotheralias:  "Understood. I also want to clarify something that I said in error on an earlier post. I hadnt done enough research. I hadnt realised that Monivea had defaulted on a few games ( disgraceful that a team is deemed good enough for A and then cant field - I dont accept it to be honest) . This meant that under the old rule all results v Monivea are cancelled and Dunmore would have lost out regardless of which rule, so I dont know what the grounds for appeal were. Sorry again if I misled people.
My point re the potential conundrum in Senior is still valid though..."
Monivea didn't play any other game in group.Dunmore beat them by 22 points.Which made their points difference so much better than others on similar points. When Monivea result was taken out Dunmore were gone.

Anyone know how the intermediate relegation works? Do the losers of the 2 games go down or are they in a group of 4? Do they all cross play?

In U17 I think winner of Oranmore v Claregalway will win it. Oranmore gave Salthill an awful hammering.

Big win for salthill in fairness but can't see anyone coming within 15 points of Oranmore hard understand how they only had 2-3 or Galway minors this year I'd say they would almost beat them ,,

I think a few Oranmore lads played Hurling as well. In fairness they are also pulling from Clarinbridge as well so they are a bit like Claregalway in that they are not a one parish club. Which I may add is not Oranmore's fault as a lot of hurling clubs dont allow football in their parish so the young lads who play football need somewhere to go. Also last year Claregalway had 6 on the minor team (when really there was only 2/3 of them worth their place) and Moycullen still won county title (and they had 1 maybe 2). Some teams are better with a sum of their worth not just 1 to 2 stars.

Since when are Claregalway not 1 parish ? Are Corofin, Annaghdown, Mountbellew Moylugh classified as 1 parish ?

I am deeply confused.

His wording isn't great, but he's referring to lads from Carnmore and Turlough playing football for Claregalway, as they don't field football teams.
Where are the club boundaries for this new Lackagh football team?

Claregalway is 1 parish. Claregalway GAA pulls from its own parish as well as the parish of Turloughmore/Lackagh. Its not one bit confusing.
Corofin , Annaghdown and Mountbellew/Moylough all draw players from a single parish.

Interesting take that you think Corofin and Annaghdown only have a catchment area of 1 parish.... and by interesting, i mean factually incorrect.

Clarenbridge and Craughwell drove football out if the area so these lads play with mostly Oranmore through no fault of their own.Lads ftom Carnmore and Turloughmore play with Claregalway although some do go to Corofin on the border,Daithi Burke being example and there is a family connection.

Please clarify . Maybe I am incorrect but Corofin and Belclare are both parts of same parish. Corrandulla is part of Annaghdown parish. There will always be cases where players on the border of 1 parish play with the club that is not part of their own parish but I would be surprised if either of these clubs had more than a couple of players (if any) outside the parish boundaries.
I am open to correction on this and I wont make a bold statement that you are factually incorrect , but this was always my understanding.

Corrandulla is in the parish of Annaghdown.
Corrofin is in the parish of Cummer.

This is the info given re Belclare on www.logainm.ie
BARONY
Baile Chláir/Clare
CIVIL PARISH
Béal Chláir/Belclare
TOWNLAND
Béal Chláir/Claretuam

A bit confusing as it has Béal Chláir in Irish for both Belclare and Claretuam.

That's referring to a Catholic church parish. Civil parishes are older - GAA clubs are connected to the civil parishes.

Likely to be generating more income from streaming games.
