Thanks for that

This guy has had loads of chances and if he was good enough to play for Galway he would be playing for Galway. Maybe he should play with his home county and try to win something with them. I wish him well.

Has he not been in the panel for 2 years? Started a number of league games etc? What kind of chance would you like - start against Kerry at 11 when he hasn't played well in a Galway jersey before?

What championship matches has he played? I can only remember him against Leitrim in 2022.

Good idea, the young lads might have heard enough from the first 2, there too long!!

Anyone else hearing a key member of the Dublin All Ireland winning team could be playing his club football in Galway next season due to work commitments....

Jack McCaffrey? He's training with Salthill Knocknacarra while he's working in UHG by has no plans to officially transfer according to SK.

Con O'Callaghan is working in Tuam but living in Corofin, and I know he's told people he will be in with Corofin next season. A big addition.

He actually hasn't had a load of chances really. He played a few games very early in the league in 2022 and has been on the bench ever since. And wasn't even being used off the bench very much while others were coming on and making no impact at all. Don't get me wrong Owen Gallagher isn't the saviour of Galway football or anything but I always found it strange that he wasn't used more off the bench. He's big and hard running and can kick a score. Seems the perfect option to put on against tiring defenders. Maybe PJ just doesn't fancy him as a player. Might be as simple as that.

Is it normal for one of the nomations to be the manager for the last few years?

I don't think PJ could take a chance after wide spread talk that he was the most likely to have made an improvement during the last quarter of the final the year before.

He was in the Man of Aran on Tuesday evening. My Father got a photo with him. Didn't realise he was working locally - any chance he would tog with Galway?

A straight swop for Shane Walsh perhaps.......would be a great move for Galway, based on 2023 intercounty form.

Even if he transferred to aran he wouldn't be able to stop them bottling the intermediate championship at semi final stage, they've been doing that for the last 10 years

Con was ordinary enough for the Dubs this Summer. He didn't score at all in the All Ireland Final. Went for goals when points were on.

If he 'roofed' that one that crashed off the crossbar, I'm sure you'd have been as impressed with it as any other non-Kerry fans.

Not the first time you've made this dig. A very small-minded attitude.
For a club which doesn't have the numbers to field at underage and has obviously all the issues of getting lads together, what they've achieved over the last decade has been brilliant.
You're talking as if they're some powerhouse club serially underachieving. Oileáin Árann have done brilliantly to be competing at the latter stages of the Intermediate championship. They've been doing better than plenty clubs with far greater resources.

Exactly. Árann lost a West Board junior final ten years ago and many of the same players are still to the fore now. Their lack of numbers means they haven't been replaced. They're doing extremely well to be competing as they have been.

Oilean Arainn are fantastic. The fact that they can make it consistently to semi finals over the last 10 years with the pick of players that they have and the logistics of them playing on the mainland and the Islands is to be genuinely admired.
