Armagh fairly embarrassed themselves on the Carrick issue.

you're the type of lad GDL who years ago would start a fight and then run away, you make a comment and then can't back it up......good luck lol lol

I certainly wouldn't have wanted it in Croke Park. The less Northerners in my vicinity, the happier I am. I am barely recovered from standing near Tyrone people in the stadium.

Any word on Jack Glynn's injury? Have super time for him as a corner back, a class act, was a very nasty looking smack he got. TobeaRossie (Roscommon) - Posts: 158 - 12/06/2023 16:02:44 2485931 Link 0 |
I tell what I'm not and that is a keyboard warrior complaining about teenagers.

Armagh have embarrassed themselves a good few times now. Never seem to learn, mind...

He started against Westmeath the last day

In fairness to him. He didn't post anything criticising the players. A few lads have said it was a poor performance. Others were more critical. I don't think saying it was a poor performance is over the top. If you asked any player on the team or management they would say they didn't perform. It's patronising to to say otherwise. It's ok to say a team played poorly. That's got nothing to do with abusive comments or anything personalised, which are completely unacceptable. Got injured against Tyrone but played the full game against Westmeath didn't he?

Jack Glynn is a very effective corner back. He is determined, tigerish and decent enough on the ball. He is a key player for Galway. However to be honest i would never describe him as classy. Shane Walsh, Matt Tierney, Peter Cooke, Sean Kellly, John Daly, Paul Conroy and a few more are what i would call classy . But you dont need ( and possibly dont want) 15 classy players.

Yes apologies I missed that he came back, lucky it wasn't worse as it was a tough knock he got! TobeaRossie (Roscommon) - Posts: 158 - 13/06/2023 09:57:18 2486096 Link 0 |

Worse you're getting GDL, i always heard "never argue with a fool" so i'm going to take that on board with reference to you

I know I will. Sound like a complainer I like Matt Tierney but has been very inconsistent this year and hope he can play up to his potential the rest of the championship because we need him to step up if we have any chance of Sam the forwards have been very disappointing except for comer ,walsh and Cooke we would be in bad shape

Very unfair comment on matt tierney. He has had a few average games but overall i think he has been our best forward . Cooke and Walsh have been at least as inconsistent without being nearly as brilliant on their good days. Comer to be fair has been more consistent but hasnt played nearly as much. 4 great forwards along with heaney, burke, finnerty. If they all click together we will be hard to stop ( big IF, i know)

A fool would be an individual who claims that facts are excuses as you have alleged in your first post to me. However you have been unable to refute any of the facts I gave in relation to us not having our best 15 out against Mayo or Derry and the muted performances due to this. You've now moved onto personal abuse and false allegations about my character and my state of mind as a method of trying to deflect the fact that you never saw one minute of the minors playing this year. You just jumped on the bandwagon to be critical of the management and players. However you are consistent if nothing else, a true keyboard warrior. Here ends the debate with a bit of advice, the best games you will see are Minor, U20 and Hogan cup football. You should try and get out and watch them games, it might assist you to see the massive progress been made with developing future county players.

He's never injured. Even when he gets a knock he carries on and appears the next day. He runs himself into the ground every day and can score. Doesn't seem to have much of an ego and very much a team player. I'd say he's one of the first names on the team sheet

Comer has been our best forward and it's not even close. Tierney very very hot and cold, with more cold than hot, and we need a big game from him on a big day. crankyincorofin (Galway) - Posts: 98 - 15/06/2023 11:09:08 2486604 Link 1 |
