Not to sure about that, aran had a tougher group than kilconly and I fancy them.

I also fancy our second team to take Dunmore.

The prize for the winner in the other semi will be huge as regardless of outcome of final the winners will be promoted and represent galway in AI series.

Kilconly came through a much tougher quarter final and have several players with senior club championship experience which is crucial in the knockout stages. Aran scraped past a poor MB team in the quarters and while I expect them to give Kilconly plenty of it, I don't think their defence will cope with the Kilconly forwards. Very hard to see anything other then a Dunmore win in the other semi-final although Corofin beat a fancied Brendans team in the last round.
Kilconly by 3
Dunmore by 5

Aran will bottle it as per usual"
Hard luck aran you put up a better display then I expected. Your ship has sailed for senior from ros a mhil with 2 senior teams relegated this year.

It has sailed for this year, but they'll be back to try again next near.
They should have been much further ahead at half-time after completely dominating the first-half. They had Kilconly pinned in their own half for much of it and won the majority of the kickouts, but took on some poor shots. The goal chance missed was crucial too in a game that ended up so tight.
Congrats to Kilconly. Mannion was excellent for them. It would be great to see them win it out.

Bizarre game in the stadium today with two very one sided halves on the scoreboard for both teams but Aran will have massive regrets. They should have had Kilconly dead and buried and cremated at half time. They completely dominated the first half but missed 2 one on ones with the Kilconly keeper and kicked about 8 or 9 wides. They must have won about 95% of the kickouts as well. Led by 6 at the break but no exaggeration to say it really should have been at least double that. Kilconly then got 2 quick points in the first minute of the 2nd half and got it back to 4 and finally started winning some kickouts and some frees that dragged them back into it. Scores really started to dry up for Aran. Only got 0-2 in the 2nd half and a few frees edged Kilconly in front in injury time. Great heart from Kilconly to stay in it but it was really Aran's wastefulness that kept them in the game. Major major regrets for them. Kilconly will probably have to produce better to win the final but the way they've won their last couple games against the head makes you think maybe their name is on the cup this year.

Very much a game of two halves but as predicted Arann fell short and indeed it was a bridge to far with their injuries.

Notwithstanding the fact that they were without Maolciarain and two other definite starters they should be extremely proud of their efforts.

Get these three back for next year and regardless who comes down they can go all the way and leave the bitter snide remarking poster from Westmeath on the pier.

Fair play to Mountbellew for digging that result out when they weren't at their best. Shows how far they have come when they can beat Corofin without Eoin Finnerty or Patrick Kelly impacting the game. Ian Burke played well but didn't get much help from the other Corofin forwards in terms of scoring.

Salthill were probably marginally the better team on the day in the other game. They will need Finnerty back for the semi final, back spasms were what was mentioned that forced him off in the first half. It was great to see Evan Murphy replace him, a super talent who could easily be on a county panel if he stayed injury free and he is still young. He had a great game when he came on. Tomo took his scores nicely and set up the goal with a lovely pass. Tuam only have themselves to blame really picking up a red card and a black card straight after each other when the game was in the melting pot.

They might take a look at Haslam from Glenamaddy too.
Has been outstanding in the Intermediate championship , I've seen them play twice in double headers and his accuracy from kickouts is very impressive. He's only young as well , so plenty to work with.

Great to see Dunmore win today - played proper football too. The spirit of Keenan, Leydon and Donnellan lives on.. Pity Tuam didn't get through..

Tough draw you'd have to fancy MM. They shut down all our runners last year. Expect them to try something similar again. We will be ready. Hopefully a cracker

Strongly fancy Salthill in the other semi final but Annaghdown will be happy with the draw. Place in the county final on affer and 2 forwards who can do serious damage. Think their backs won't be able to stop salthill

No complaints today v Dunmore who were far the better side. An outfit ready for senior football with a great sprinkling of youth. Can't see Kilconly beating them.

MM and S'hill for final. MM to win.

Carraroe and Oughterard for the drop.

Headford in serious trouble and could go to Junior.

Corofin normally play to a rigid system - Dunmore always play beautiful football. A lot of people cranky in Corofin tonight..

Great to hear about Evan Murphy. Super underage footballer. With an injury free run he is a potential bolter for county panel. Why is he only on bench for club, is he returning from injury again?

Yes, Haslam from Glen has been very impressive and they were unlucky in a way not to have advanced further. They certainly had opportunities to put away Kilconly. Haslam is very cool and does most things well. Might get a call up.

Didn't see Evan Murphy do a whole pile when he came on but he is a talent that needs a run. Finnerty was different class and if he's injured S/K are in big bother. Cathal Sweeney was very good also.
For Tuam I though Brian Mannion tried very hard and looks very good in the ball, a guy I would like to see get a run in the FBD or early league for Galway.

In the other game I thought Ian Burke was head and shoulders above everything else. Need to get him back involved with Galway. Also liked the way Dylan Canney was hit by Power as a default kick out which worked very well. For M/M, very impressed with Billy Mannion seems to have come on a ton in the last year and also thought Barry McHugh was excellent, he's a real leader for them. Great sign for them that they didn't play overly well but ground it out especially after Corofin getting the goal.

Wasn't at any of the other games

Agree on Ian Burke the County needs to get him on board. A game changer. Thought Paul Mannion had a great campaign along with Tuam Stars goalkeeper. Any other players in your opinion. County needs to find a midfielder desperately.

If one or both of Liam Silke or Kieran Molloy are unavailable for Galway next year I think there is a good chance that Cathal Sweeney will be starting for Galway. Has had a very good championship from what I've seen of SK.

Cooke has had an excellent championship for Moycullen. We've all seen what he can do, so hopefully he'll be around next year. He's mobile, strong, direct and an excellent kicker.
Conroy is still a brilliant footballer, but he doesn't have the legs for a full intense match at midfield.

I think the Mountbellew keeper deserves his chance in with the county, very comfortable on the ball, good shot stopper and has variations in his kickout.
Barry Mchugh also deserves a chance in the Galway set up after his performance at the weekend.
I would like to see more of Dylan Canney, has had another good year with Corofin and put on a show of fielding in Tuam Stadium on Saturday.
Dylan Wall and Ian Burke definitely deserve their chance in the Galway set up also.

Eoin Finnerty looks to have been injured on Saturday but still put in a decent performance.
