Surely the team that has been named won't start? Not sure how anyone at the game last week could come up with only one change to that starting 15.

I'm sure. Loads of selection teams at every level, in all codes, up and down the country, adopt a stable method of team selection, and don't overreact to the ups and downs of match day. They're playing Offaly for a start, not KK. If things go as badly as last week, it might be time to consider more radical selection surgery at that point.

It's hardly an overreaction at this stage. We have lost our last three games all by 12 points. How the midfield can stay the same is baffling. Shouldn't matter if you are playing Kilkenny or Kildare, selection has to be based on current form.

I wholeheartedly agree. They key to getting into this Galway team is not to perform it seems.

Lads are getting a bit excited...its only Offaly We are playing, a team in transition for 25yrs. What have Offaly achieved since losing the 2000 All Ireland Final.
It doesn't matter what team starts Galway will win.

It makes me laugh when u ask what have Offaly achieved in last 25 years Galway have 1 all Ireland and in history of Gaa Galway have 5 Offaly 4 and in fairness to Offaly they had to win there provicinsl final to get there where Galway got straight through also Galway have never beaten Offaly in final but Offaly beat Galway in 2 let's be honest Galway are bang average and are in reality not even top 6 team ,,

Galway hurlers have won more than Galway footballers in the last 25yrs for bang average.

Fun little fact, the 1981 all Ireland championship, Galway actually played one more game than Offaly despite having no province. They played Antrim, Limerick x 2 and Offaly. Offaly played Laois, Wexford, Galway. You could make the argument that Galway and Wexford did the hard work and knocked out the two in a row Munster champs in Limerick and Wexford knocked out the 79 all Ireland champs in Kilkenny… only a bit of fun. That Offaly side of the 80s were a great team, maybe not as flamboyant as the 90s side but probably maxed themselves out more than the 90s side and dominated Leinster in a way the 90s side didn't.

Never mind the distant past Katser. It wont have any bearing on tomorrow's game. If you look at the last 5 years Offaly have the same amount of silverware at Senior as ourselves and yourselves. But they have also won 2 Leinster u20s and an AI u20.

It's great to see confidence restored to the Galway supporters. It's only Offaly, in transition for 25 yrs.... How many All Irelands did Offaly win while Galway were in transition from 1998 - 2017 and the way things are going Galway will be in transition for another 20+ years.

I think that's a very lazy synopsis.
