The Galway team named doesnt fill me with excitement but the Kilkenny team named doesn't fill me with fear either. I expect it will be close -- a point or 2 win either way.

Im disappointed that Cianan Fahy is not named in the first 26 --- unless he is injured. He was a good underage prospect but kind of symptomatic of our inability so far to bring minor talent through when players like him are not even making the match day panel.

Really like that half forward line....praying that C Cooney delivers the goods, Niland will clip over the frees and Monaghan is a free spirt on the wing, Kilkenny would need to pay attention to Monaghan because he is well capable of tacking over 3-4 points and then the hitme inside with Concannon and Whelan. With those 5 mentioned all playing well Kilkenny won't be able to match us."
Will they all play well though Katser?

If you're driving an option would be to turn off the motorway at Celbridge and head to Leixlip.. Park there and get the train in. About a half hour to Drumcondra.. 10 minutes walk then to Croke park. It's hassle free.
Best of luck on Sunday.

There is no reason why they all can't play well, like they are good players and have the ability to do it.
I must say they is a very good vibe about and chatting with people from various Clubs within the County the verdict is a Galway win. Maroon flags are up and the feel good factor is back!

Replying To Trump2020:  "I think you took my post A LITTLE TOO LITERALLY. The point I was trying to belabor was about knowing HOW to win even when you're not necessarily the better team. Great example was 2 years ago when St Thomas's lost to Ballyhale despite leading by 5 points and the game about over. Kilkenny and Kerry teams are great at that kind of thing."
Didn't that team that 'knew how to win' lose the final the very same year, to a last second goal conceded to Ballygunner, from a range that was just ever so slightly too far out for comfort. What happened 'knew how to win' at that moment?

Ok I'll try again: knowing HOW TO WIN doesn't mean you're unbeatable. Hey maybe I used to wrong wording or something because you seem to be struggling with a real basic concept.

Trump, I'd say most people clearly understood what you meant. I certainly did, and would agree with you. Knowing how to win, or rather 'knowing how not to lose' is how I put it when we are talking about a team that might have certain limitations, is often I feel down to a mental determination rather than talent or a physical aspect of the game. Pay not attention to the pedantic nature of certain posters. 2-3 of them are on here and have 'Galway' attributed as their county. I don't know why, as they do not do one iota of credit or service to Galway in either football or hurling. And where they get time to post their abundant nonsense, I just don't know! Infallible for fact, NO. Infallible for time, YES!

In fairness they're is always a feel good factor in Galway every year for the hurling. This is going to be our year..... They are beginning to become the hurling version of Mayo. Lol

I love it when the opposition get over confident. You won't hear any of this nonsense in Kilkenny.

Ha ha ha. It's all good. It's just banter. I just need Galway and Clare to win tomorrow, throw down a few old pints, and then I'll sleep like a baby.
