Replying To mooncat: "If you google Mooncoingaa you will see a photo of the unveiling of a magnificent statue to Richard "Drug" Walsh, the only KK man to captain 3 AI winning teams,in the photo with the GAA preisdent is the sculptor Seamus Connolly who is sculpting the statue of John Joe,I was down there Saturday and it is a really magnificent statue,I have no doubt that the statue of John Joe will do him proud."
Hi Mooncat
Thanks very much for sharing that, I missed that story at the time. A wonderful job done by Mooncoin GAA, fair play, a fitting tribute to Drug Walsh. It's really important to preserve the memories of these legends for future generations. Great to hear that you're happy with the work of Seamus Connolly, I have no doubt that he will deliver a monument to John Joe that we can be very proud of.
All donors prior to November 30th will be entered into a draw, the 1st prize will receive all of the below:

I've got a size 5 O'Neills signed by the Dublin football squad (long story!) that's free to a good home. Anyone interested can just log onto Twitter at the below address, follow the page and Retweet, the winner will be chosen on Thursday, cheers.
If you fancy being in with a chance of winning 2 Hogan Stand tickets to the Derry vs Galway/ Cavan vs Westmeath double header this weekend, in addition to the only merchandise ever signed by the 50th All-Star Football team, simply make a €5 donation to the John Joe O'Reilly statue fund @
The draw is Tuesday at 9pm. Every €5 contributed = 1 entry
2020 All-Star football team: Raymond Galligan (Cavan); Oisín Mullin (Mayo), Pádraig Faulkner (Cavan), Michael Fitzsimons (Dublin); James McCarthy (Dublin), John Small (Dublin), Eoin Murchan (Dublin); Brian Fenton (Dublin), Thomas Galligan (Cavan); Niall Scully (Dublin), Ciarán Kilkenny (Dublin), Con O'Callaghan (Dublin); Cillian O'Connor (Mayo), Conor Sweeney (Tipperary), Dean Rock (Dublin).
Given that there was no All-Stars banquet or tour in 20202, this is the only merchandise that the team has ever signed. Thanks very much to all the players who signed the items for us, I'm delighted to say that they were a pleasure to deal with.
