Maybe you could answer a question for me? Well 2. What is the point of having more than one username? Or changing the one you have?

"What is the point of having more than one username?" He can make a comment, then reply agreeing with himself, adding a green thumb. Cockney_Cat (UK) - Posts: 2753 - 09/09/2021 20:03:52 2379170 Link 1 |
I change my username every so often because i lose access to email accounts that i register them with for variety of reasons and to break things up. I post things that are jumped on immediately because its me who is posting. a second account wont necessarily gather the same vitriol so its handy in that way. Replying to a diluted yoke who constantly insults your county just so you can collect another thumbs up. Grow a pair shallow man. AfricanGael (UK) - Posts: 1947 - 10/09/2021 10:03:53 2379252 Link 1 |

I never jump on a post on account of the poster. And even if people do that to you it's an anonymous forum why would it matter?

Are you suffering from self-conceit ? Think your opinion is the only one that matters ? Then you need SecondUserName. Simply register on www.2ndUsrName.com and within minutes you too will be able to give your own posts that sought after little green thumb. Forum is only as reliable as its posters, everything is secondary.

I'm not on too many forums so I'm not sure if it's normal but I find the timekeeping here leaves a queer amount to be desired. Galway9801 (Galway) - Posts: 1942 - 12/09/2021 11:14:19 2379893 Link 0 |
I do think this is overall a good form but you make good points there, another thing is censorship and editing of posts that don't break house rules for fear of upsetting the sensitive. I'm on this site 8 or 9 years I have 1020 posts now but I would guess a quarter of my posts were not let on the thread and some of my posts were edited which mis-represented my points on a couple of occasions. I feel if someone takes time to write a piece and it's not left up on a forum, administrators should give the courtesy of an explanation why it wasn't.

TFK "The free kick" is well worth a look.. Its very good, utterly chaotic, and you wouldn't want to be sensitive but at least you can post your opinion on something without the mods sanitising every second word in case some poor dear is offended. No need for numerous accounts either, just be prepared to stand over what you wrote. skillet (Limerick) - Posts: 1106 - 12/09/2021 17:38:29 2380015 Link 1 |
I'm as weary as anyone about the controls being placed on speech and debate in our new "enlightened" society but unregulated anonymous online forums are just pointless, I took one look at that TFK yoke, what a mess, makes us HS posters look like scholars and that's bloody saying something.

What forums are you suggesting are unregulated? Any of boards, TFK(though i dont have much experience using that site to speak of it) are all regulated, moderated forums just the mods allow all posts and then take action if necessary KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 3754 - 12/09/2021 20:30:53 2380058 Link 0 |
Well if they allow all posts they're not really regulated. I'm sure there's someone running it but from looking at it briefly it wouldn't be for me anyway. Galway9801 (Galway) - Posts: 1942 - 12/09/2021 20:53:41 2380068 Link 0 |
