And?? I was responding to the assertion that Tyrone have been somehow shortchanged by the ref. They absolutely have not, when you play they way they play you are going to get calls agains you.

This is an atrocious result for Kerry. Galway9801 (Galway) - Posts: 1942 - 28/08/2021 17:44:34 2375514 Link 2 |

Well done to Tyrone. They showed up ready for battle, Kerry did not. No excuses. Better team on the day advances. GeniusGerry (Kerry) - Posts: 2113 - 28/08/2021 18:07:26 2375523 Link 5 |
Brilliant stuff from Tyrone, worthy winners, played with 14 men for a lot of the game and against a ref who was favouring Kerry the whole way through, Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 3064 - 28/08/2021 18:08:00 2375526 Link 6 |
Well Done Tyrone, they were the better team. Mayo will hype themselves up too much for the final and the team who have actualy win an all-ireland in living memory will win in the final. Ronan1989 (Donegal) - Posts: 81 - 28/08/2021 18:08:09 2375527 Link 4 |
Well done and sincere congratulations to Tyrone. Met some Tyrone fans leaving and they asked are we sorry we did nt take the bye to final. No its was the right thing to do and fair play Tyrone. CiarraiMick (Dublin) - Posts: 3851 - 28/08/2021 18:10:58 2375531 Link 1 |

Hard luck Mick, the better team won on the day, Kerry will learn a lot from today, makes nonsense of that hammering in Killarney.

When you've lost something like 20 All Irelands out of 22 contested you don't hype yourself up.....media and people from other counties do that ......but that's a subtlety lost on some posters. I hope Mayo win the final but Tyrone will be slight favourites and ought to be winning it and if they do I wouldn't begrudge them. It's great to have such a novel pairing in the final. May the best team win!

Just an observation but do most of the young kerry players have a touch of the cillian o Connors about them? Just saying! Onion_Sack (Dublin) - Posts: 267 - 28/08/2021 18:57:20 2375585 Link 4 |
It's absolutely not "Tie-rone" - if we want to have some nod to the original Irish, it's properly "Tir-owen" - that is, there has to be an "r" at the end of the first syllable, unless you have zero knowledge of, or cultural affinity with, Irish. But most Tyrone people just say it with one syllable, very short n quick: "Tthirrown". essmac (Tyrone) - Posts: 1141 - 28/08/2021 19:10:08 2375601 Link 0 |
That was pure Tyrone Power!

Great exciting game. Lots of errors and frantic movements on each side. These lads really gave it all. Obviously I'm happy at the result and surprised tbh. I thought Kerry would have had a bit too much for us at this point. So proud of our lads. seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 28/08/2021 19:37:20 2375631 Link 2 |
Thank you Tirchonaill appreciate that.

Yeah honestly , what the hell would the Cork lads be thinking looking at this.
