Ah stop. Limerick were a force of nature, but how much of that was down to the fact that their opposition on the day weren't exactly amazing and allowed Limerick all the space they needed to play showcase hurling? But I don't want to take away from their well earned win and plaudits, so that's all I'm going to say. festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3097 - 24/08/2021 22:41:19 2374535 Link 0 |

Agreed,I was hoping to get KK in the final also with the aim of settling some "old sores" ...pun intended. Pity is KK probably won't make it to the final next year. Would not be surprised to see Cody and half the current team depart the county scene. Winds of change indeed blowing .. PatOLogical (Limerick) - Posts: 1359 - 25/08/2021 00:46:17 2374553 Link 0 |
It's up there with the greatest of displays and Limerick with the great teams. It is impossible to compare different eras. I am sure Limerick don't give a damn about this comparison and won't even if they win another three. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 2660 - 25/08/2021 01:13:38 2374558 Link 0 |
Were they as young as Limerick in 18? . Jack O'Connor, Luke Meade, Pat Horgan, Allan and Cadogan, Patrick Collins 25, Seamus Harnedy, Darragh Fitzgibbon, Mark Coleman, Sean O'Donoghue, Shane Kingston, Tim O'Mahoney and Damien Cahalane were all involved in 2018.

Spot on Canuck. We could not give two fling ones what other people think. We just feel privilaged to have lived to see a team like this after all the decades of disappointment.
