That's true champotime. ..and indeed, hard to beat being there at time. I'm sure all of us have our supporters club membership, did the 50 miles, etc so it would be great to hear an update of some description. God knows what type of managers the likes of Mortimer, Moran, etc would make. Maybe the Moran rumour was a reference to Barry Moran?? He has the Leitrim blood connection with the Dad from Mohill. How sure are ya? I think he was player manager with Ballaghdereen. If it's true, then that's the end of his playing days. With the gyms and young family, he wouldn't have the time. Look I have it on good authority from a man that knows that there were five players managing the mayo team the two O'Shea's, the two O'connor's and Andy Moran. So Andy has intercounty experience and if he got the job I for one would be delighted. A 'modern day coach' with the grand total of less than 2 yrs coaching experience (if even)... he helped out with the Mayo U20's a couple of years ago and is only 9 mths into management of his home club. Exactly what Leitrim DOESN'T need. Some joke if this is what's being touted as progress.
