Semi-finals on this weekend. Any thoughts from Roscommon, Kerry, or Derry posters on what ye think of your teams. Obviously all pretty good after winning provinical. A pity that the games aren't in Croke Park with the chance of a crowd at it LeitrimRoyal99 (Meath) - Posts: 1458 - 07/07/2021 15:13:41 2357417 Link 3 |
Does anyone know if the Derry full forward (Murray) who got the straight red card is appealing? In fairness it is tough man on the young man )who was involved in a lot of their scores) to miss out. I would be surprised if Kerry don't beat Roscommon and should be a tighter game in Newry. Meathball (Meath) - Posts: 140 - 07/07/2021 15:59:48 2357436 Link 0 |
If he didn't appeal, he should. Poor decision. Good Derry team. Think that game is being streamed on tg4 youtube. Yous can turn the volume down where necessary :)

Meath team has impressed me especially defensively. They hammered Dublin by 11 points. And they kept Dublin to 0 - 7, Westmeath to 0 - 7 , laois to 1 - 6 and Offaly to 1-7. That's great defending. Kelly looks a quality full back. While Caulfield looks a huge talent at wing back. While Donnelly, McConnell, and O Donoghue are good defenders. Gray is 6f 4 or 5. Real powerhouse at midfield and Emmanuel who is minor next year is a great athlete and great prospect. Kinsella is the playmaker, a very good player. But Frayne is exceptional minor. Destroyed Offaly and Dublin. Best forward to come out of Summerhill in a long time. But Derry look a real good side. Kingkeegan (UK) - Posts: 55 - 07/07/2021 17:29:31 2357466 Link 0 |
Correction. Leinster Final result. Meath 1-7 Offaly 1-6.

Thats hard to believe the poor Leinster record When you consider the huge population in Leinster Plus most of countrys economy and wealth is in the region rhudson (Galway) - Posts: 1478 - 09/07/2021 12:38:02 2358008 Link 0 |

Congratulations to Derry on the win today. Battled to the end and took their chances. Pity the Kerry forward didn't take his point at the end to force extra time instead of going for goal, but those are the decisions that matter at crucial times. kingdom_come (Kerry) - Posts: 76 - 19/07/2021 00:04:15 2361470 Link 1 |

Well done Derry. Congratulations! It made my Derry friends really happy. Btw, has any other father and son pair captained senior and minor winning AI teams, like Henry and Matthew Downey? I wouldn't think so! foreveryoung (USA) - Posts: 1911 - 19/07/2021 16:01:35 2361772 Link 0 |
