A terrible first 50 minutes. Cavan very lacklustre but Tyrone not putting them away

Handy win, much better opposition ahead and no full back. Careful now.

You must have led a very sheltered life. What shocked you about it? It was an ok game with some nice scores. Neither side good enough to win much. Nothing more, nothing less

It was a shocking game for a neutral, a reasonable 15- 20 minutes to begin with but it was shockingly boring & unenjoyable. Some very nice scores from play from both sides I agree. McCurry very impressive & looks like the real deal.
But maybe I was expecting too much, considering how the league ended for Cavan.
Probably a tense weekend for you. I suggest a nice walk & a few deep breath's.

That was no red card, but you're probably right even if he appeals he will lose it, when it comes to physical contact in the game common sense no longer prevails, should not miss a semi final of a provincial championship over that.

Good individual performances but overall a shocking display for an Ulster championship. Absolutely shocking.

Striking or attempted striking with force.

It was open handed, but it was a striking action. Was there force? There was some, yes.

That's the frustrating thing about Gough. He was 100% by the book on that incident. He's completely all over the place at times tho. Gave some baffling calls against both sides.

A deserved red card for sheer stupidity! Absolutely no need for it with such a lead & getting the fists out right behind Gough's back.

The Cavan squad is very thin with injuries to key players i just hope they put in a battling performance as it has been a hard year after the heroics of last year."
Who are the key players injured for Cavan ?

I'm not a fan of his, he seems to continously get away with inconsistent displays regularly without any critical analysis, for some reason. He sent him off on the advice of his umpire the other end of the field, 80 yards away, not a red for me

Ciaran Brady and James Smith …. although they wouldn't have changed the result Today.

If you're going to send lads off for being stupid, you'll end up with 5 aside matches. He was stupid to get involved but the sending off was stupid too IMO

What are you on about? It was a blatant red. Learn the rules before you start.

Ah FFS. Have you ever been to a proper championship match. Did you ever see a player after he scores going back to his marker, seen a lot worse than that and nothing, ever seen a sub coming on the pushing and shoving that goes on, nothing.
Also didn't appreciate Mcguinness comments that Tyrone were susceptible to being sent off for that kind of thing. People need to move on

Stop asking stupid questions that have nothing to do with a fella striking to the face. Going back to his marker ? What on earth are you on about ? Are you saying he can strike to the face after a score or something? If you are ,you're scrambling here.
Mc Guinness's comments have nothing to do with it either.

He gets praise for "letting the game flow".

But he's far too quick to penalise a player for overcarrying or touching the ball on the ground when they do neither.

Let's some blatant fouls go, but then stops the game if a free is taken from the wrong place.

I disagree , the rule was correctly applied and the Tyrone player will never do that again....hopefully. It's obviously a lesson for other payers as well !

Don't try put words in my mouth fella. What I'm saying is that what McNamee did was no worse than what goes on all over the pitch in a championship match with no sanction. It was at most a yellow card IMO. Mc Guinness comments had everything to do with IT, as he was discussing It at the time. What I'm not going to do is discuss it with you, respectfully over and out
